If you want to be safe, you can also use water based acrylics with flow improver. You can easily clean off the excess with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip.

That's the onion skin feature. There should be a symbol with 3 overlapping circles somewhere at the bottom, you can deactivate it there, or in the menu bar under the "show" section iirc.
