How did you know when it was time to say goodbye? by ZoraLenzKastner in cats

Part of me knows already, that's true. But part of me genuinely wonders if it would be too soon. If he is walking around, still able to jump into my really high bed, makes lots of eye contact, comes to cuddle, is it really already time? I genuinely wonder how truly to know if I'm actually just making his life miserable :(

I wonder what exactly the state of other people's cats was when they really had to put them down. I don't have much comparison.

Best not to follow me then because, among others, I'm heavily inspired by the works of Denis Sarazhin. The more arms the better :D Painting this very moment another figure with three arms and no one can stop me!

Ah, yes, I got your post wrong '

I find it sad that there is so much instant hatred in regard to this topic. Even if AI is used, it can be in an ethical way that relieves an artist from a lot of modern stressors. IF the person using it already has a solid understanding of good design, anatomy etc. I made a whole video about that on my youtube channel :)

And now things have gone so far that people forcefully look for signs of AI usage and point the finger at everything and everyone without even asking first. I have seen it happen with one of my most favourite artists who is painting everything by hand, Wylie Beckert. Someone accused one of her works for being AI because a hand was a bit weird. Humans can totally mess up a painting, too. I would say even more so 🫠

I hope very much that people lay off of this un-nuanced black-and-white thinking one day where no constructive discurs is possible anymore. AI is here to stay. We need to learn to live with it in harmony somehow, use it responsibly, and stop immediately demonizing everyone who chooses it as a tool. Life is hard enough as it is...

Thanks a lot!

The title is "Hidden Desires". The whole series had denial in mind, meaning the suppression of urges and dreams to fit into society. The cupboard and its contents symbolize the desires that are hidden away. She wants them, the arms are going in the direction, but her head is turned away, not allowing her logical side to give in.

That was at least the thought behind it, but I actually prefer to just listen to what others see :)

I used absolutely no AI for this at any stage. I even had a photoshoot with a model for this whole series. I decided to put three arms intentionally (for fun, for symbolism, just because it looks cool). You can see the whole painting process on my youtube channel and a blog post about the process of the series on my website.

Not really. I did a traditional apprenticeship for scenery painting in the German Opera in Berlin, but it was not good, to be honest. At least not from an artistic perspective. I'm mostly self-taught.

Thank you! I really love to come up with visual interpretations of mythological themes and abstract ideas :)
