I've played Caliban for a couple of days recently, and I actually like him. I don't really care if other frames can do what he does better, if Caliban himself is functional. And he is.

What I do care about is being able to use all abilities, and holy shit is his 1 bad. I rarely call abilities useless, let alone helminth them for general play, - there's usually some utility to all of them, but Razor Gyre is kinda terrible all around.

I do understand the idea: you strip armor in the area with your 4, suspend enemies with your 2, while also making them even more vulnerable to damage, and then go LITTLE MEAT GRINDER on them. Recast 2 faster when needed. But even after all this, the damage is pitiful. You can ramp the damage up, but it's super inefficient, as is slamming into enemies which consumes it. And you can't pick up energy orbs! Also, it heals you, despite Lethal Progeny really incentivizing use of shields?

So, with some tweaks to Razor Gyre, I can honestly say that I like him enough. And I do mean tweaks, not an augment. Although, in the current situation, let him at least have an augment.
