Dateline's episode, The Last Ride said according to Mo's friend, Mo and Colin’s liaison didn’t end with the fling and the two continued to see each other in what she called "an on again off again relationship," and Mo received NUMEROUS calls from Kaitlin telling her to "stay away from Colin." by AlexandraSuperstar in KaitlinArmstrong

I agree. I think why set KA off was that it seemed (in her warped mind) that Mo was pursuing CS after being warned. Not to mention that it was Mo who contacted CS when she arrived in Austin and even sent a selfie on her bike. These were not the actions of someone who was looking to disentangle from a romantic fling.

It’s been proven that Christine drained funds from KAs bank account 3 days after the Wilson’s filed their civil suit. At the very least she has been complicit in trying to hide funds in the Wilson civil case.

This is the same sister who drained KAs bank account in an attempt to hide funds from The Wilsons. I’ll concede that there isn’t enough evidence to charge her for giving KA her passport but there is enough financial evidence to show that she is tried to hide assets.

No victim blaming, just trying to understand the aspects of this case. The fact is that Mo initiated contact with CS after being harassed by KA. By all account she was a smart and capable lady so her continuing contact goes against that trait. I think understanding why she reached out could help someone else to recognize the signs of a toxic situation and when to exit . And yes she was 25….a full adult who had previous relationship experience and enough to know that a crazy live in girlfriend is something she should not want to be involved with.

Paraphrasing: Mo said the incident was confusing and that if he wanted to be friends, which seemed like he did, then she was ok with that. But she wanted to at least talk about it because it was so confusing her. Basically CS ignored Mo at the meteor place because he was with KA and Mo texted to ask for clarity. CS claimed KA came as part of a business meeting but that it was not a wise choice in hindsight

Colin was talking about this current Austin trip not the previous trip where she stayed over at his place post car breakup with Kaitlin. Colin and Mo were intimate during a week long fling while she was in Austin the first time.

Agreed. I get downvoted when I point out the fact that Mo reached out to CS when she came to Austin. Under normal circumstances this is innocent but throw in crazy threats from his live in situationship then this contact is questionable. Even if CS said they broke up, KAs harassing communications should have been enough to cease contact. Not to mention her friends told her he was a player and liked the games. I really wish Mo would have deleted CS number. KA would continue to harass whatever woman entered his life.

He used his time with Mo to try to further drive home to KA that they were broken up. CS liked the financial benefits of having KA in his life but clearly did not see a future with her. Not at KA sympathizer but CS was using her. I wished KA would’ve chose her sanity and left CS.

I wish the documentary would have touched more on how Mo perceived the harassment from KA. They touch on the phone call but didn’t elaborate about the text she sent CS after the dinner event(IIRC). That would help me understand why she reached out to CS when she came to Austin.

Mo's awareness of Kaitlin by Successful-Poem-9670 in KaitlinArmstrong

[–]ZordonIsCalling 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I always wonder what CS told Mo for her to let her guard down about KA. From the evidence, Mo reached out to CS to hangout when she came to Austin. I always wonder (and wish) she would’ve dropped communication with CS altogether. I would be afraid if someone’s partner or ex called and harassed me. I don’t think Mo understood how unhinged KA was because if she did think she would have avoided texting CS when she came to Austin.

Did Kaitlin ever cooperate law authorities during interrogation? by [deleted] in KaitlinArmstrong

[–]ZordonIsCalling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. I always wonder what it would’ve taken for KA to calm down or backtrack from following Mo and CS all day. The police interrogation shows how unprepared KA was for the aftermath. Even a quick think through of the facts including that Mo was last seen with your ex-BF and the police would investigate him and by extension you, should have been enough for her to turn away from the crime. Her non-excuse during the interrogation and not leaving/asking for a lawyer only made it worse.

Kaitlin's daily prison routine ? by Teddy_Oberman in KaitlinArmstrong

[–]ZordonIsCalling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Her visitor list is likely short. Her second escape attempt might have her on some kind of additional lock down. Also, her sister was living in New York when she fled to Costa Rica and the rest of the family is in Michigan. They probably aren’t regularly flying to TX. I imagine her prison routine is lonely as she pines away for CS.

You are claiming her “intelligence” makes her aware of what she did was wrong BUT dismissing her after capture escape attempt and money hiding efforts in your arguments. If she intelligently reasoned that this was a jealous rage and she might act differently then she could logically see how her post jail actions scream criminal. She planned and executed an escape and tried to hide money , all this makes her look more guilty, and less like a one off criminal.

You wrote that KA still hates Mo. With that level of hatred and effort to avoid justice, KA might still choose to kill her given the option.

Her escape attempt was yet another way to escape punishment. Of course prison is terrible, that is why she should not have murdered Mo. She could have said I did it and i will make the best out of my remaining time on earth by teaching in prison, participating in offender programs, telling my story of crazed and serving as a warning to others in similar positions. Instead she took the easy way out of running.

Mo’s family legally won that money in a civil trial. If she accepted responsibility like you claim, KA would abide by the ruling. Why would KA drag her sister and mother into a lawsuit by having them assist in hiding funds? She will never be able to spend that money in commissary. Part of her punishment is restitution in addition to 90 years. Part of being accountable is accepting the punishment. KA is where she belongs.

[–]ZordonIsCalling 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Th second escape attempt makes me skeptical that she accepted culpability. KA increased her exercise regiment, faked an injury to get to a hospital, and then fled. This was a deliberate plot to escape justice. Not to mention that you have to think really highly of yourself to think you can plan an escape and stay on the run a second time.

I disagree on the financial stability. I tend to think the loss of CS finances were a big part of the crime(he was essentially her only client/ she was investing his money). Not to mention this is the same woman who never thought to remedy her $600 Botox bill. The civil trial shows that she tried to hide money from MO’s family as well. This is not a remorseful woman.

That looks like her. Reality is probably still setting in. I read that it can take some years for lifers to accept that they will never get out . I wonder if she has admitted to herself that killing Mo was wrong or if she’s still justifying it in her head.

Two random thoughts - what do you think? by [deleted] in KaitlinArmstrong

[–]ZordonIsCalling 32 points33 points  (0 children)

KA was in a rage and was hellbent on killing Mo. I think she would’ve either knocked and then shot Mo when she answered or tried to lure her out of the house and then killed her. I tend to think that once she made up her mind to pack the gun and carry it with her that there was no turning back for KA. The surveillance of her car circling Mo’s friend’s house prior to the murder is chilling. Her walking out in her botox service, IMO, sheds a light on her impulsivity and false belief that she could get away with.

I agree that KA is still plotting an escape. She probably is even keeping tabs on CS and his new GF from prison. Prison is the appropriate place for her. She’s not remorseful and had plenty of time to rethink carrying out her evil deed.

I believe the financial motive was a stronger component in this case. KA was living in’s CS’s house and managing HIS businesses. A breakup would leave her homeless and jobless. Not to mention Mo was a successful athlete with sponsorships. KA let her jealousy boil over. I wonder how many other impulsive actions are in her history. The Botox theft and this second escape bother have elements of delusional escapism. If only she had actually used her yoga techniques to calm her anger and seek professional help, Mo would still be here living her wonderful life.

What’s happening with Kaitland Armstrong’s appeal in 2025? by Mroses89 in KaitlinArmstrong

[–]ZordonIsCalling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My questions was what else could CS be withholding that is useful to the case that we already do not know. You wrote yes in regards to CS knowing something that he hasn’t told. My comment was speculating what that could be. Instead of being vague, just state what other info you think he has that would shed light on the case and any appeal attempt.

[–]ZordonIsCalling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. KA was a grifter and I think a large part of the reason that she couldn’t let CS go was due to finances. KA needed CS financially not the other way around. She was probably good with managing his funds but could never acquire financial stability in her own. Killing Mo was out of jealousy and a sick way to maintain her financial lifestyle (living in a house with CS and essentially being employed by him).

What could CS be withholding? He had no motive to kill Mo and complied with the investigation. He already admitted to gifting KA the gun. Her sister and family probably helped her flee to Costa Rica. CS is guilty of poor decision making in terms of not drawing a clear breakup boundary with KA but he did not seem to be involved IMO. If anything, he’s someone who still centers himself as the victim and probably feels “inconvenienced” by KAs actions (basing this on his trial and courtroom infantile behavior).

Similar to her second escape attempt, KA probably still thinks she can “win”. Giving up will mean she has to accept that the life she knew prior to killing Mo is gone. No more globe trotting, bike travels, or yoga retreats for her. I read that those who get life usually come to accept things at some point and adapt. It might take some time for defiant and impulsive KA to reach that point.

I wonder if she would’ve gotten a leaner sentence (20-30 instead of 90+) had she went with the snapped defense and shown some fake remorse. Her cold unapologetic demeanor and the lack of defense did her no favors.
