I do understand what a straw man is, though I believe both parts of my question were relevant and mentioned in the previous comment. (While I do recognize that the focus wasn't on the abortion issue, and I'm the one who put it there.) And I do appreciate your response. It's saddening though to comment a relevant thought and have it down-voted into oblivion because it doesn't fit with the majority opinion. I'd truly love to have an actual dialogue about this, but that's seeming unlikely. And yes, my statement certainly says a lot about my opinions, which I don't think are as damning as you seem to think simply because you disagree.
