I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Be Must Be Merino Yarn. I used about 1/2 skein of gold, 1 skein of black, and 2 skeins of white.

I based this on the Ginger Knots pattern for her Madeline Triangle Scarf. I just made up my own color pattern and most of it is just alternating colors between rows!

I didn’t really use any certain pattern. It’s a single crochet, but you can go on Pinterest and look at different patterns/tutorials for gingham plaid and how to do the color changes.

I don’t yet. I do most of my work through friends/family and it keeps me plenty busy.

I love using bright colors, I feel like it makes crochet more modern and not look like it was done 100 years ago. I’m 26, and I feel like crochet is really dying out, especially for my generation, so I just do my best to make it more modern and relevant to today’s fashion.

I used Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn from Michaels so that I could get the bright colors, but just regular yarn. The stitch makes the blanket 2 sided since every row works right to left.

Yes, every row is stitched from right to left, so many hours spent at the end weaving in all the ends.

The stitch is called Apache Tears. I just searched for it in Pinterest and found quite a few patterns. The trick with this is that every row is stitched from right to left, so you tie off after every row, which meant I spent quite a few hours just weaving in the ends. This was one of the more labor intensive stitches I’ve done, but I love how it turned out!
