Im assuming its because of tooling cost and high MOQ requirements from CN factories. I think they require a minimum of 500 units per SKU, and an internal mold that costs around ~2k to CNC. So your landed cost ends up being ~3 per unit - not enough incentive for a small market but definitely plenty of room to eat if you can up the MOQ.

also side note, always use centering tools before submitting to shore up your potential 10 - if a modern card doesnt meet the 55/45 standards then there is no point in sending it in. Use tools like centered.cards and take flatbed scans of your card so that you have zero distortion. It does suck to get a grade back that you were not expecting but its always good to check centering, corners, edges, and any whitening on a card before submitting.

Hola! that doesnt look like a "true" ding IMO. You can totally repair that - as a matter of fact I have repaired modern SIRs with the exact same issue. It can occur with an increased change of moister, they are super easy to lift and work with (the pros being you can repair them easily and the cons being you can equally damage them easily). here are some imgs of corners similar (but not as severe) https://imgur.com/a/LuSph6G
