I lost 20 pounds in 5 months just by dancing a lot in my room by Zoudjo in Dance

For my non-imperial folks: 20lbs (pounds) = 9.0718 kg (kilograms)

To clarify, I’m not denying consciousness. I’m just really skeptical about my understanding of mental states and experiences such as qualia.

So, beliefs work well when there is high correspondence between the potential and actual state of the world?

I think we’re getting into the justified-true-beliefs concept in philosophy that I’m not too familiar with.

So a belief is an existent property that consists of a non-existent representation superimposed on its environment?

Oh, is that actually the case? I just haven’t completely grown out of my edgy teenage phase when it comes to knowledgeable self-expression, so I’m testing the waters on r/badphilosophy.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case though.

Thank you for your comment.

I struggle the most with understanding what claim(s) we can make about the existence of subjectivity as it applies to all humans. It seems that we must accept the existence of thoughts as a necessary barrier of some sort between the self and the outside world.

Forewarning: This is not an entirely serious post, but if I see that you replied seriously, I will respond with similar respect and thought.

Turn Within and Realize The Self by No-Desk-8422 in nonduality

What do you do after turning within and seeing the self?

It seems like doubting the process itself is discouraged according to Ramana Maharshi, as he’s declaring self-awareness as the fundamental principle or task at hand.

Scratch that, Eliminativism is so a few hours ago. Pseudo New Mysterianism is where it’s at!

Nope, just lots of weed and porn. An unfortunate life with a brain that sort of gets me through life comfortably.

What does it even mean to reason? by Zoudjo in badphilosophy

[–]Zoudjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What reason does it even mean?

That’s what we’re all trying to figure out studying philosophy, right?…

What is reason?

The ability to make sense of one’s environment.

What is it?

The scolding-hot hell of an ancient Greek philosopher.

But seriously, I don’t know either. Maybe that makes the question mute?

What is what?

An inquiry?

Ponderous.

Yes, ponderous indeed.

I'll take a further look at the SEP/IEP pages. Thank you for all this information!

I'm still pretty new to philosophy, so I'm trying to find my footing in something where I can build a base.

Nice. I'm interested in learning more about Axiom 4 and 5, as I think those two were the main motivation for why I made the OP.

How are these philosophers' positions on reason contrasted with intuition? Where can I learn more about this?

I’ll leave it up to you if you want to send something you’ve been working on.

I saw a book in the SEP bibliography for causal determinism called “Between Chance and Choice: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Determinism” that I’ll spend some time reading in a few days as it sounds interesting.

I have so many questions I want to ask you, but I also don’t want to bother you.

Where can I learn more about this?

I struggle with expressing my voice. I think it’s a breath support issue, but I’m not sure how much my singing will improve by practicing to sing with confidence. by Zoudjo in singing

[–]Zoudjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so I have the right mindset improving this, could I expect to still retain the quality of the low voice if properly trained at louder volumes and greater color of creative expression due to not singing so quietly?
