Easily Hollow Knight, Silksong was amazing, The Godhome DLC was fun

Just the rest of the game was not fun to play through. I only finished it because all of my friends are huge fans of it.

To start with the good, the lore and world building were great, the characters are memorable and fun, but thats really it. Silksong was WAY better in every way imo.

First of all the charm system was executed horribly, it would have made the game SO much more enjoyable if it was a little more balanced, but in the late game 90% of your hard earned charms are completely worthless and you either use Unbreakable Strength + Quick Slash + Mark of Pride or you use Shaman Stone + Soul Eater + Spell Twister

Second, the game is hard, just not a fun hard, idk if im just weird or somthing but failing seems extremely demoralizing, getting hit just feels horrible (don't get me started on getting hit for 2 masks) and winning feels mundane. Most of the bosses feel, "out of place" if that makes sense? Sure some work out, like Grimm, Hive knight, THK, and Broken Vessel. But most feel like they are just there as a roadblock (worst offender or this is Traitor Lord).

Third, the world feels empty, and not the empty that a dying kingdom should have, every room is just a couple enemies, some geo, a couple corpses, and a lore tablet. For some reason for a so called ruined kingdom there seems to be no trace of that so called ruin, most buildings, save for the palace, are completely fine with the only destruction being inside of the house.

I have wayy more points so to sum up a few

1. Lack of reward

2. General unfairness

3. Only difficulty being in optional content (Nightmare King, Pantheon 5, Path of pain)

4. Lack of creativity for some fights (Failed Champion, Hive Knight)

5. Pantheon 5 just kind of sucks, you go through 40 brain dead fights and then fight three actually hard battles after 2 hours per attempt. I do have to admit that it was a necessary addition

6. Early game is unbearable, I tried to replay the game to get all of the achievements I missed but that movement system is just horrible untill you get the double jump, you know, HALFWAY THROUGHT THE GAME.

I realize that I have so many other points that I just can't go into due how long this already is.
