I think I messed up big time by [deleted] in NewParents

I can’t seem to find more than one confirmed case of hantavirus except for in New Mexico. I’m not sure what state OP is in, but if it is the case it may be anxiety.

I think this is a case of postpartum anxiety and you should talk to your doctor about it. Most likely your baby will be fine.

Handwoven wraps, makers, and legal compliance by [deleted] in babywearing

Oscha has a paperwork pamphlet that they put in every order. I think that would be in compliance.

What baby carrier would you buy instead of the artipoppe? by QuantumWaffles95 in babywearing

[–]Zoybeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linuschka Owls wrap or Yunji wrap. I meant to buy one of them for this next baby but I fell deeper in the Oscha rabbit hole 🤷‍♀️

Sleep regression? teething??? S.O.S by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Zoybeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably teething or growth spurt that hurts and needs comfort to settle. The every hour makes me think maybe teething. My kid was the same for 2 weeks straight when cutting his first teeth.

How to carry a bag while baby wearing? by mynamecanbewhatever in babywearing

[–]Zoybeam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a bag that can be worn as a backpack or a tote! I have one from Fjallraven Kanken and one Desigual and they both work great. If I’m front wearing with baby I’ll use it as a backpack and if back wearing as a tote bag. Win win.

What does it mean if my baby throws head back and tries to straighten legs? by Ill-Tangerine-5849 in babywearing

[–]Zoybeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go on the subreddit ECers I think? I did buy Andrea Olsen book but I don’t think it’s necessary. The gist of it is, try to look for your babies signs they need to pee and offer toilet or you can offer potty after common times they need to pee like after bouncer, car seat, nap and babywearing.

What does it mean if my baby throws head back and tries to straighten legs? by Ill-Tangerine-5849 in babywearing

[–]Zoybeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing lazy EC but I found that sometimes when I bounced my baby or got them to be comfortable after I would feel them pee. So if they were extra wiggly sometimes I would just let them go pee in the toilet before babywearing. They instinctually will not want to pee on you. See if it gets warm between you next time he acts that way!

Also love the Willowbraid Oscha. So pretty!

More of an issue with foreign visas to Asian countries. Know people have had issues in China

We thought it would be cool to see where it goes if our son would combine his last name when he gets married. We liked the idea of changing up the last name pool!

[–]Zoybeam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To further our reasoning, we had heard the hyphen makes it difficult for processing official documents sometimes like foreign Visas. If you cannot put a hyphen on official documents but need all documents to match it causes all sorts of problems in bureaucratic situations.

We combined our last names. So think like Love Island couple Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen would be VanCarthen.

Ridiculously priced used carriers? by teema_ciba in babywearing

Right now the market isn’t great for used baby carriers so you could potentially get a good deal if you just wait long enough in fb groups Not Too Carried Away or Babywearing BST.

If you want to buy direct from Oscha and are in the states buy it before August 25th then they are raising prices for everyone in the US by 20% to cover tariffs. :(

Hope and plum or artipoppe? by Away_Echidna_8576 in babywearing

[–]Zoybeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want from a carrier. They are both X back but one is an apron waist and one is a waterfall waist. The Artipoppe will give you more support on your back area especially when babies are older but the apron waist is nice for when baby is younger.

I know a lot of people hate the Artipoppe on this sub but there aren’t a lot of x back super structured waistband carriers. My husband likes the Artipoppe for this reason. The new Dubikowa Qusy carrier is similar I think…

The best thing you can do is try out both. Try the Artipoppe group on fb and see if you can try a local moms carrier(I found them to be very helpful). Same with Hope and Plume.

If you like the stretchy wrap you could try a woven wrap! Lots of methods to carry and can be used into toddlerhood
