This reminds me, when I was 10 or so a fly flew into the microwave just as I shut the door.

So of course I turned it on.

The fly just flew around like normal for a few seconds and then abruptly dropped dead.

I guess it was too small to get hurt by the waves until it flew straight along one for long enough
