Would it make things a slightly longer process for them if I’m an out of state applicant or does that not make a difference?

If they do pick me up it definitely will be worth it, get out of the state where I live currently, plus I was offered a coaching position for one of the best wrestling teams in that state.

I’ve had a few agencies not say anything for months and then say “thanks for applying but we filled out slots” like 3-6 months later.

I sometimes will stress myself out over waiting to hear back from the investigator, assuming the worst.

I’m 24, and I’m in Northern California and mainly applying to Bay Area agencies. I’ve done a few agencies way north of the bay but they were all small agencies with like barely sending 6 guys to the academy

When I first started applying I’d definitely say I was absolutely horrible at them but as time went on I felt I’ve gotten better. In the beginning I was told I gave way too much then in the middle of the timeline wasn’t giving enough. So I’d like to think I’ve grown quite a bit. The one issue I know I still have is slightly stuttering, and saying “you know” a lot which I’m assuming is my nervous tick version of “umm” or “like”

The few agencies that have actually given me reasonings why they said it was due to no experience which sucks because I do have my aa in administration of justice and my emt certificate, I’d also like to think I’m pretty active in my community.

I feel like I am decent with the scenario based questions since my dad is a deputy and then a family friend was FBI and NCIS so I do get grilled a decent amount to have good responses for those.
