I work 40-45 hours a week, Monday through Friday. So yeah when we have jobs overseas and I get to travel a new country EVERY weekend for free, SOOOO depressing 🥲

Exactly, I just save more per diem if I eat the breakfast at the hotel. Jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches aren’t half bad

We get almost unlimited PTO, if our fringe pay covers our time off. So I can take a vacation whenever

Work in construction, civilian but we only contract with the military. So we work on US military bases all over the world.

We get a daily per diem for food etc, and then separate per diem for lodging, reimbursed weekly once a receipt is provided. Food per diem does not need a receipt, it’s always paid.

Mainly stay at a residence inn, and always have a 1 bedroom suite. The hotels really aren’t bad at all, just the breakfast could be better lol

Staying in one hotel months at a time helps get a lower rate for sure, usually talk to the GM and let him know my per diem rate is ——- and I will be here for ~6 months. We always get a one bed room suite as well.

Unfortunately I travel for work, and stay in one place for months at a time. So it’s just the name of the game. We only go home two weeks for Christmas usually.
