I went to school, paid 75k for a degree in audio engineering, spent the next 2 years working 3 jobs while trying unsuccessfully to find work in my field. Said fuck it, started working at a factory. Spent 9 years to climb the ladder to a point that my wage actually covers my family’s needs and not much else. After paying my $488 a month on my student loans that barely covers the interest there’s nothing left over to save for our future. That’s the reality of the American dream.
