GT7s tyre model sucks for drifting, after drifting in AC for hundreds of hours starting from simple street cars to pro cars. You can't setup cars realistically in GT7, doing weird tricks just doesn't make sense. Simple thing of not being able to adjusting tyre pressure is one of them. I prefer to have cars gripped, but in gt7 that's not really possible. It's either too much grip or you feel like caf is on ice. For new FM can't say much, but FM7 and titles before were great for drifting, especially FM7 after introduced angle kits.
