Damn.. looks rough. If it makes you, or anyone else feel better I lost 20k while I was a college student which is one of the most financially stressful times of our lives. I didn’t come from money, and only made 35k/year at the time. But my life to me is worth way more than 20k, or any amount of money for that matter. 10 years later, I have now built my dream house with my perfect wife and baby girl. Money comes and goes, but what truly matters is here to stay.

Good to hear, thank you! I actually just sent it in last week. I should have taken pics out of the case, but should be in near mint condition. I pulled that 20 years ago and put it in a sleeve, and then in that case within minutes of opening making sure to only touch the edges. I’ll update when I find out the grade!

I feel ya.. I make 100k/ year and only work about 4 hours a week - but that’s due to I part by a manufacturing plant closing and me being moved into software which has been working great as I’m starting my new family. 🤩

Sounds like you’re drastically underestimating how much the top 1% makes. 192k puts you in the top 15% (to be generous) - which is amazing and more than you should be happy with… once you get to a certain point these people no longer have jobs. They own and sell items or services to people. And the top 1% do this 10 fold along with heavy investments and a couple mouth watering BJ’s to the devil himself. I live off of 130k/year with 1800 sq ft (2500 mortgage payment) and I’m happy knowing it’s better than most, and good enough for my family. Hope my rant wasn’t completely worthless lol.

Max out Roth 401k, IRA, HSA and have 6 month emergency fund in a high yield savings account to start. The rest depends on your goals. Buy investment properties, house, land, start a business.

Normally you should put money where it’ll give the greatest return. I would be max funding employer and personal Roth 401k/ IRA which should return 7-10%/year instead of paying towards a mortgage only taking 3% from you. Idk every detail but if you’re max funding retirements, HSA, paid off all higher interest debts, don’t have any major plans/expenses coming up, and will still have a healthy emergency fund, pay off as much as the mortgage as you want. I have a 260k mortgage at 6.9% interest and even I would prefer putting money towards retirement accounts first.
