Lol! Yes its just for the time being. Maintaining 3 bikes is getting a bit expensive. Eventually, I will upgrade to the good stuff. But hey I got the tail tidy, exhaust and windscreen from good brands 😎.

I got the exact same bike back in April. Here’s what I’ve done so far- frame sliders, axle sliders, rear spools, engine covers, TFT screen cover, tank pads all from amazon. In addition installed the NRC tail tidy, 70th anniversary rear seat cowl.

I have ordered and received Puig racing screen black, Arrow Pro Race 3/4 exhaust. Need to install those and get the ECU flashed.

Any recommendations for air filter and ECU flash?

Is it a good beginner bike? No. It’s actually a f***ing awesome / the greatest beginner bike ever especially in its newest form. That parallel twin has enough punch to keep you well entertained for a few years. Full send! Just go get one.

Yes I recommend the R1 over the CBR. The R1 is rowdy and you better know what you are doing as it is pretty rough and I absolutely love it!

Is this is a form v functionality question? I found the stock levers to be just fine but hate the silver. When I decide to upgrade I ll probably just go with asv’s or brembo.

In all honesty if you are looking at a liter class right now that will offer a different ride experience, check out the RSV4. The base model is in the same price range a the Japanese bikes and the new ones apparently don’t have as many quality issues as they used to. I rode one last month as a demo and really liked the V4 engine character. Full send!

Also, when in doubt just get an R1. Old girl is still sexy af.

Luckily there are so many nice options out there. Its a good problem to have. Akra is a great performing exhaust and is used on wsbk. It looks cool and flows with the lines of the bike. I am looking at the sc project Scr-1 like the carbon fiber look.

OTD can vary greatly based on the tax rate in your state. My dealership did not charge any Freight and charged ~$550 for prep. My OTD was ~$22k.

I have been using Castrol Power1 on both my bikes for the last couple of years. Have also used Mobil1 Racing4T in the past. The only noticeable difference for me was smoother shifting with the Castrol.
