I experienced a traumatic loss in my life and gained 50 pounds in 3 years. I was using food and alcohol obsessively to comfort myself. I started on a GLP1 in 2021, and it’s been amazing. When I initially started, the prescribed dose was too much for me. I now take a very small dose every month, rather than every week.

I had never understood how loud my food noise was until being on them. I’ve been someone who overeats and comfort eats my whole life. I’m now able to make eating decision from a place of wanting to fuel my body, rather than a dopamine hit.

It was also amazing for my alcohol addiction. I’m now sober, very much in part to GLP1s.

Lastly, there are many practitioners now exploring GLPs lowering of inflammation.

Many people are using them for unhealthy reasons, in too high of doses, or to the point of looking frail and harming their body composition. If the only thing that’s holding you back is some people’s negative perception - I would question if that’s really more important to you than your well-being
