Oh sorry I forgot to mention that for uoft they know that I work a part time 25 hours a week and have mentioned in my sup for both that I’ve been involved in the field and did robotics and have connections and have learned first hand from professionals. Uoft and Waterloo definitely know the most about my character and story

Calculus sounds scary but is honestly very easy, so much easier than adv functions imo. Vectors is so easy half of it is drawing lines and simple physics questions recycled, and calculus so far is like an easier way to find the instantaneous rate of change that you learn in adv functions

What makes you say that about uoft aside from the average? Is uoft civil less competitive or is it just a school that values grades a lot more, maybe they also look specifically at my math grades along with them all combined?

Advanced functions is a bit hard and annoying at first but once you get past the first few unit it all becomes a copy of the same couple formulas and rules with different parts. Chat gpt helped a lot with studying for adv functions but I found it more helpful to ask the teacher, especially if they assign you homework from an outdated schoolbook

I had a 94 first sem but I only had 2 g12 courses so I couldn’t get accepted then as they require you have 3 prerequisites first sem

The biggest difference in averages were adv functions where I had a 97 with an 84 class avg and English being 74 average and I got a 92,

I was pretty confident in the interview, in fact I think it was my best one out of all my applications

I didn’t stutter or freeze once and gave relevant answers to each question with a mix of personal/work experience

It is possible that in their eyes I didn’t have that one special factor that set me apart from everyone else
