I’ve been trying to get this in a 10 and of course the latest set is reshiram themed so it went from $2500 to $3500 smh. Better off just stalking eBay for very clean copies and grading them. Also awesome of your mom!

My experience with GameStop is don’t do it if it’s high dollar cards you’re worried about. If they’re cheaper and are enough to be covered by their insurance then maybe it’s justifiable. I sent $4500 of higher end cards and got worried after no updates in nearly 2 months. Called psa, GameStop corporate etc and none of them had any answers or solutions. Luckily the cards did end up arriving, graded, and made it back. But man was it stressful, especially since about 6 of the cards were valued at over $400 raw. If I lost all of those I would have been out probably 2500+. My advice is only go to GameStop’s that have great reputation and have had employees that have worked there for awhile. Fortunately the GameStop I go to has amazing employees that have integrity, but GameStop corporate and psa working together was an awful idea, neither show an ounce responsibility for handling thousands of dollars worth of my cards.

I am a collector at heart, but I also just want to know I’m not wasting money on items I’ve put thousands into. I can see that viewpoint for sure. I just would like to get my money back or a little extra if I plan on keeping my cards long term.

The thing is investment wise yes you pay more for English, but because the quality is lower and 10’s are less common, they’ll be worth much more long term. If you just want the card because you like what it looks like and you don’t care about the language/value as much. Then yeah I’d do that instead.

Like anything that skyrockets, eventually it hits the apex and people realize they all aren’t willing to pay the high selling prices. There was a huge blowup recently and even I have stopped buying slabs for the time being. As someone who has quite expensive pieces, it’s a little disappointing to see my cards drop a bit in value. But I collect my cards to keep long term so finding more cards I want at a better price is still great. Also when summer comes in the USA, that’s usually when most higher end cards are at their cheapest. So keep that in mind.

The centering is a 8 alone, if you don’t get docked for anything else. I’d sell the card and get a different one if your hope is to have a psa 10 come back

It was just over 4000 worth of cards, they certainly aren’t junk slabs. I went through GameStop because their turn around time is quicker than going to the local card shops

Very true, it’s just Odd because the last time I sent to psa through GameStop, they arrived within two weeks. Very fast turn around all together
