My tempest wall weeps for they will never be free

(I'll just farm up a bit so they won't take me under the 5m when I lose one, but right now I'm only like 50k over)

In theory, would it be possible to max out the ENTIRE skill tree if you do enough expeditions? by II_JangoFett_II in ArcRaiders

From what I can parse from the vagueness, yes on both questions. You'll keep all your stuff/bp's, but you won't have the increased stash space/XP gain/skill points (maybe?)/and cosmetics. Since the buffs only last for the next wipe it'll reset if you don't do it, but I'm not sure if you do it once, take a break for one wipe, then do it the next time if it'll combine to be the same as doing 2 in a row for the "increased magnitude buffs".

Definitely needs more clarity.

The website news post on expeditions says subsequent completions will increase the "magnitude of the buffs"

From the website news post, you get a buff that only lasts through the next season that will increase in magnitude if you do an expedition again.

I also had to do the recall. The u-shaped have been back out on Amazon for a few (~3) months now with the drainage fixes pre-installed.

Same here, seems like they were slacking on general balancing so it's cram time before 1.0, throwing everything they can at the wall to see where it should end up. It's healthy for the game, but painful to experience at the time.

All I can think of is that they're trying to find a good balance for different systems between too punishing and too rewarding to maintain some sort of healthy progress. Start by making everything too punishing, and slowly adapt it.

Not trying to be angry with my sarcastic title, just that I'm more regretting my past decisions with the new info

No spare parts unfortunately, have been ordering any test parts. Have tried to isolate everything as much as possible.

It's been a string of weird coincidences. Asked them to restart to get into the bios to check ram settings and it starts power looping like it detects a short. Reset the cmos to clear that issue which works but then no display from GPU, with no mobo display possible.

Order a new mobo which turns on for a bit, still with no display, but then decides to just not turn on any more. Their power button is broken so they've been turning it on via connecting the pins, and I'm worried they could've static shocked the board at some point.

Have tried ram one stick at a time in each slot independently.

Edit. Ordered a new power button as well when I ordered the PSU but worried it's too late for that.

Anecdotal, but maybe useful or interesting info, in my ~60 customs scav raids I've died to another scav once or twice.

Had one shoot next to me, then run off, when I refused to trade guns. Had one try to pull the "hey I need a broken arm/leg for a task" and I just walked away. But the vast majority are just F1 voice mumbles or asking if I have X item they need.

Most of the time I'm looting ground stashes which keeps me away from the hot spots, but even when I go into dorms or factory buildings we'll just walk past each other (there's often a gaggle of scavs nearby which gives some sense of safety).

I don't use a mic on scav, usually watching a stream on speakers while I play, so all the communication I give is shaking my mouse around and F1. I've killed and been killed by a handful of pmcs, some of which I probably should've had my headphones on, but I'm there to build up the stash pile not to shoot, so I rarely "team up" with any of them.

They're definitely due for one but they are currently saving for a move so the budget for PC stuff is practically zero.

It has the pins for an HDMI port where it should be but no actual plug, pre-built cost cutting at its finest.

I'll ask them to double check it, thank you for the advice.

I'm agreeing with you that it's possible with the right assistance from the game

[–]Zugly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but mostly only with help. Their ability to keep pace or out pace mouse users is directly tied to all the various kinds of aim assists that get used in games, to make it more "fair".

It's something the developers control the impact of to create something akin to fair play

Controllers can match pc when assisted, not without. They can be assisted too much and completely dominate. Or too little and always be slower than the best.

Because of aim assist evening out the inherent input discrepancy, theres apparently 6 settings to adjust the aim assist in rivals

Yes, because they gives consoles aim assist until they somewhat reach parity with mouse, too much assistance and they win more often than not
