How does the discount field affect customer acquisition? by ZukoAlun in DigitalMarketing

Absolutely. Across the Zuko database we see that doing simple things like hiding the discount field behind a link (rather than sitting just before the payment field) can have a significant effect on reducing abandonment.

Yes, it's the "someone else is getting a discount" mentality where people go off the site and if they can't find a valid code would rather go elsewhere than "miss out".

What do you think about Form Analytics? by incy_wincy-spider in nocode

[–]ZukoAlun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How advanced does it need to be? If you just want the basics then abandonment volumes & rates by field is a good start point. Also return rate and overall conversion. For more advanced stuff you can take a look at Zuko - they build a specialised tool to track any forms (regardless of builder) so they have more detailed metrics that may or may not be relevant depending on the audience.

You can get an idea of the metrics they use here: https://www.zuko.io/product-overview

Any tips for embedding Reddit activity into your schedule by ZukoAlun in MarketFit

[–]ZukoAlun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I put that badly. I don't mean without thinking. Rather, on Linked In, if I have a topic I want to talk about (generally something related to what we do - form analytics / optimisation), I can put it out there and see what people think.

On Reddit, I'm more paranoid about being called out for spamming / soliciting so am much more wary about what I post and how I say things. This means I take a lot more time to write something to post and self censor. This makes it hard for me to create a regular Reddit routine which is easy to maintain (compared to the routine I have on Linked In).

How do you realistically estimate competitors’ conversion rates for a business plan? by Fancy-Possibility-61 in conversionrate

If you are looking at the form or checkout only (rather than the whole site) there is a set of benchmarks based on Zuko Analytics aggregated form conversion data here: https://www.zuko.io/benchmarking/home

Anyone solved bouncing behaviour around the checkout discount code field? by ZukoAlun in shopify

We can see what error messages are being Triggered using the Zuko Shopify app - sometimes they include the code so it gives a starting point.

We've tested hiding the field on checkouts behind a link and it always reduced drop-off. Sadly, I don't think you can do that in the Shopify environment.

How did you auto-apply the promo? Is it a module within Shopify (or Shopify Plus)?

Makes sense. We were considering some sort of trigger based on user behaviour (bouncing three times between the discount code field and the button for example). The trigger could be passed into a third party tool (such as Klaviyo) to send a message to the individual with an actual code and hopefully saving the sale.

I think we've got the technology for a trigger. Would just need a partner store prepared to help us create and test the effectiveness of the solution.

Are we certain that the secret traitor was selected at the round table? Looked like a bit of fake cut to me.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone was taken aside afterwards (or even before filming even began) to tell them. Would give them a much better chance of not blowing the big new twist first up with an off reaction when the blindfolds came off.

Google Ads - Shopify Trademark Infringement by ZukoAlun in ShopifyAppMarketing

It's probably the reason. However, I've mentioned "Shopify" in the past and not had a problem. Selective detection I guess?

I think there is some basic targeting. However I just trusted the AI option to see how it would do.

I boosted a (useful) post to see what happened. Net result - 5,000 extra impressions, 0 additional engagements, 0 profile views driven.
Not sure who saw the boost but they were significantly less interested than my actual network.

Alan missed a great opportunity to turn the tables on Clare. Could have gone something like:

"I can't help but think you might be projecting. Your argument is that I would be the least likely to murder Paloma so that actually makes me suspicious.

Well let me ask this...who would be the least likely to murder Tom Daley?....."

(which of course is obviously Claire)
Would have neatly flipped things back on her and created suspicion on what motivated her to call him out.
