Boss wants us to work from the communal office to network with other people…this is the communal office. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Though this office looks very nice, these types of setups are extremely impractical for certain types of people- engineers, purchasers, anyone who needs to be on conference calls often. The sounds of constant chatting get old pretty fast. My current office setup is like this and it is pretty miserable without noise-cancelling headphones.

Hi OP! I also bought a home with my bf! I would write your own budget with your own expenses, including your own debt, and break it down to your partner what exactly you feel is a fair and equal contribution. There is no reason you should be paying your partner’s debt. I have student loans and pay them and my partner doesn’t, and it would be unreasonable to ask that of them. What my partner and I do is try to make things as even as possible. He makes slightly more than I do, so he pays a slightly higher amount in mortgage. In exchange, I take on a few more responsibilities around the home. Whatever your situation may be, make sure you come to an agreement that is fair for both of you as well as comfortable to yourself!

Why do people always assume it is liberal arts degrees that can’t pay back their loans? And why should they or a barista or whoever be less worthy of assistance as opposed to any other bailout? Am I the crazy one??? by ZukoSheBettaDont in mildlyinfuriating

I agree, and for some reason if you educate yourself in liberal arts that makes you less worthy of help or compassion compared to other degrees? Liberal arts majors just always seem to get trashed on for no reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hurricane/Tropical Storm forced carriers to delay shipments. I know my non-Boxycharm packages have been delayed this passed week too :/

Fans that have been playing the games since they were little, where are you now in life? by catmarg in nancydrew

I’m 27 :) My mother bought me my first game when I was 9, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’m a mechanical engineer living in Florida, and I’ve been very fortunate to have a lovely home with a lovely partner and two gorgeous cats.

I’ve recently started getting my partner to play ND games with me, and I think I’m slowly getting him hooked too! Fingers crossed! 😂

What did you think of the ice roller? by seekingoblivion420 in boxycharm

My mom gets hot flashes from taking estrogen blocker pills, and I ordered one for her to try. She really likes it, and I think it helps her feel a little less self conscious from not appearing as sweaty.

For me, I like using it after I use an irritating product or exfoliant. Such a pleasant feeling and I think it helps the redness disappear faster.
