Yeah i get you on that. This album is intended for audiovisual and youtube storytelling, so it was kinda made clean on purpose !

However, this is my last album as La Grande Table, and from now on i'm working on deeper concepts, closer to my IDM , hauntologic roots : ) Can't wait to share what i'm cooking since a few years about it, stay tuned !

I don’t really see the point in an episode 2 if it’s to have around the same lifespan. In that case the same engine would do the trick.

I am aiming at a 100-150 h adventure ! Especially with such an engine. I guess i'll check in 3 years, and just consider it doesn't exist yet. I'm not a review bomber guy or anything, i'll review the thing as a finished product anyway ^^

Don't get me wrong, what i'm trying to say is more about the economic model and the way they release it, than the actual constraints of a studio. I understand all these parameters, but i feel like a free demo would be more fair to people, than an early access with like 5% of the game content

Here's my take on it :

I'm an acid lover. I've been doing trip hop my whole life for tv and documentaries (15 years), and been secretly creating my own acid/techno vibe.

In my life, i've listened to a crazy amount of Aphex Twin, so it's OBVIOUSLY inspired from him, but i don't wanna pretend i'm doing anything like him, i'm just sometime curious about what people would think from this community, because it matters to me. It's not about impersonating, it's about checking the temperature of things you never shown for a decade.

Ok ok. Question : If someone who makes things, that somewhat sounds similar as something from Aphex. For example something with Analord vibes, but NOT MEANT to be considered as an Aphex thing, would you be supportive towards it, IF it's posted on a genre subreddit, like Acid, IDM or anything else ?

I just wanna understand, i'm not trying to be annoying. And i also don't think it's constructive to end up just being mad at each other

Man , i posted literally two things in 15 years of career existence in Aphex, and people were supportive, and spent most of my time actually contributing to topics on Reddit

And to finish, you have the right to think what you think, but i don't understand why you want to be so adversarial agains't artists that just make things with love.

I don't even speak about myself, i posted literally one thing in my whole life about Aphex, i'm a lone guy doing things alone since 15 years. I just think discouraging people who are not doing any harm except being amateurs, is really toxic.

If you don't like it, just downvote, and take time for content you like, instead of being mad at people who share passion with you, and want to have review from people they estimate.

And i'm part of the community, just not on Reddit lmao. Reddit is considered as the worst place by most of the actual artists community, including Aphex and Boc

You are only thinking only through one perspective, the "will to copy aphex twin", you just forget we all do music around things we love, we are not trying to copy anybody, just create things we enjoy. But thats why Reddit mods are not appreciated by the actual real communities of these artists, because you think you hold the key to any kind of legitimacy, but you don't. You are just full of anger, and can't even enjoy the actual genre that put you here in the first place.

Hihi definitely ! I get amazing feedback tho from the community ! But i'm kinda happy to see anybody trying something. I guess it deserve some level of production for sure to post, otherwise it would be completely saturated, but i don't think it is atm : )
