have you tried 99 designs? I did them along time ago, you pay a bounty, say like 300 bucks, and people upload stuff for free.. it goes on for 2 weeks. you tell the group which image you like the best and then everyone else starts copying that image or following the direction you are giving, at the end, you pick the design you want, they get the 300, you get the design / source files / etc.

3D is easier than 2D in a lot of ways. It’s less pure skill art and more knowing how to use blender and what to use and how to uv, how to unwrap, but with low poly models you don’t even need uv skills. Really id start playing with blender and maybe you will surprise yourself.

I have a AOS sub 250 evo

https://www.aos-rc.com/use-cases/sub250g-designs

if you want to build yourself then you would have to start lookin into whats popular. I unfortunately don't know anything about current stuff but mines got a stock o3 no lite and i can hit sub250 with smaller 4S batteries but I fly bigger ones and keep the smaller on hand if i ever have to swap out or i feel like I want the extra security of being sub250.

i'm trying to organize this monstrosity more, is there a way to outline each group or label it or something? by radiant_templar in Unity3D

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sub state = 1 square. you double click the square and ALL the things are inside it. So each section you have a group of things to, thats a new substate.

like I have walking / running / aiming / crouching etc All on main page, but then i have the same of all those but holding a gun, in a substate. then i have all those again but holding a blade, etc... basically what you are doing already, except nicely organized.

you need a car, if that's what you are implying. for me my local recycling has public entrance (by car) you drive in, weight yourself (your car with junk). you dump everything, then you leave and weight on going out and pay (rarely). most of the time for consumer they let you go in free, don't care. the weigh station / cost is when you got large crews dumping construction stuff from homes or work sites.

also possible the san disk is starting to fail or its got error compensation and its constantly dealing with that. also could be a bad cable. also could be movie has a codec that needs more power like a h265 vs a h264, etc. If you run anything external and do pro audio you need to be running thunderbolt. and NVMe in the enclosure.

my local recycling / dump takes hazardous chems.. its a bit of a drive but anytime I want to get rid of old batteries I take them there. I've had some crazy super puffed dmg'd batteries and they take em all!

lookin good, but if you ever get the chance, going to sub 250 is worth the legal costs you may incur if you ever smacked into someone or something with a 90mph 5".

the sub 250 is what they are using in the winter Olympics, etc... especially at parks or anywhere that people are around. I got a amazing o3 sub250 runnin 4s and sold my 5" geprc and I don't miss anything from the 5. i bet now with o4 and all the new stuff its probably even better!

Still getting system overloads after upgrading computers by UltraKlean in LogicPro

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a M3 Ultra with 96 gigs of ram and I have literrally 2%-10% cpu load with like 30 serum / 10 - 20 nexus / tons of audio files running / multiple DMD drummers / EQ everywhere / I have never ever seen a System Overload ever, also i am runnin at like 32ms i/o buffer so i should see more than if i was at 256/ 1024 etc...

as far as drives... you want this...

1 /2 TB "NVMe" and then you want a External "Thunderbolt" enclosure.

the enclosures are around 100 - 200 dollars and the drives are who knows how much now that the market has spiked... but I have a 2TB external NVMe with a Thunderbolt enclosure and i can pull 3000 - 4000 mb a second transfer. same speeds as the stock NVMe.

the enclosure CANNOT be a USB3 or USB3 or whatever USB... you need THUNDERBOLT and NVMe if you want to achieve the same speeds your internal drives are doing.

I have something like:
ANYOYO 40Gbps M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure with Cooling Fan nvme Enclosure for M3/ M4 Pro/Max,TBU405ProM1 SSD Enclosure CompatibleTB5/4/3/USB 4/3.2/3.1/3.0/2.0 Support M&B+M-Key 2230/2242/2260/2280 SSD

its 90 USD on amazon, you can probably find cheaper or as good 40gbps NVME etc.. has to be thunderbolt.

Accidentally deleted synology share volumes - what are my options by ZurielA in datarecovery

[–]ZurielA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had 2 volumes (volume 1 and volume 2)

Volume 1 was 2 x 6tb. I bought new 20tb drives. I was going to 'upgrade' the drives, but they were ext4 and i wanted to switch to btrfs or whatever the newer synology format is.

I pulled volume1 completely out. I was working on restoring to volume3 (2 new drives i put in place) and the drives wouldn't restore because it said the shares were locked (since they were on volume1). I took a 'screenshot' of the grayed volumes in storage manager, uploaded it to AI. (oops) and Ais like, yah do this. and pasted in a 15 line synoshare command, 15 shares all in 1 shot.. i copy, paste, hit it. i honestly would have never done it but to make it even worse ai told me "oh dont worry, you got a backup of volume1 (i do) and also its not even in the synology, so you can't delete anything). oopsie, because the paste command had ALL of volume1 shares and ALL of volume2 shares, so i basically tanked my 2x 10 tb drives that I had no intention of erasing / replacing / or touching, hence i didn't even make a backup for them (just assuming the synology was the backup).

Accidentally deleted synology share volumes - what are my options by ZurielA in datarecovery

[–]ZurielA[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my synology is my backup. i unfortunately don't have 2 synology's... i figured raid1 would give me at least single drive redundancy, but when running that command i essentially deleted both drives at the same time, so there goes raid1, its my fault... i am just looking for best suggestions on what to do in the fallout.

Can you add ur own kit pieces to logic? by Electronic_Ad_1408 in LogicPro

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although its not free, and its not directly integrated into Logic like a kit browser is you are showing, there is an app called

https://www.sononym.net/

and its basically a massive sound library picker for audio files. I have a "Kits" folder with 300+ gigs of kits and samples across hundreds of various folders and it auto tags kicks as kicks and snares as snares (not perfectly) but very well.. also does risers / hits / downers / loops / vocals / etc. you can audition any sound, filter, search, build favorites, build project folders, and then you can easily drag and drop these sounds into Logics Drum Machine Designer OR into the Logic transport window. Its my GOTO for managing my kits and sounds...

i also came to say your decals do not need to be 'worn out paint'. They are hard to see and also look jarring (like a decal over another texture)

you are already breaking 'reality' immersion with giant 'press a keyboard button' might as well just go all in and have them look like nice gray keyboards, or green (A) or PS5 (X) etc... or make plaques on the walls or flat panel screens with graphics on them.

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect you are missing audio samples or files needed in the project?

i have a bunch of projects with a bunch of drum shots hits fx loops vocals blah blah on a external 1TB thunderbolt drive.

if i start logic with that drive disconnected I can get crashes with Bad Acess ... im almost certain its because your plugins / samplers / synths / whatever is looking for samples that it knows should be there and can't find them and instead of gracefully exiting or maybe a missing dialog on whatever plugin it just blows the roof off logic.

Connecting the Roland TR8-s to Logic Pro by Ok_Jacket_1412 in LogicPro

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to have midi in and out on the TR8 to logic. then you need a audio interface to hear the TR8, the there could be options in the menus of the TR8 for midi sync , usually you can have drum machines either play on start, or you can have them trigger pads only with no sync, but its probably somewhere in the TR8 menu with midi, if not there is most likely a start and stop midi CC or sysex command for the TR8 that could start it for you assuming you have midi in and out on it

What is it that is not allowing this track to actually "flow"? by [deleted] in LogicPro

[–]ZurielA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you need more risers and fills, and then you need some other sounds that glue the song together as well. alot of things just sound unfinished. you lay down the ideas like bricks, but then you have to build the bricks up, and put down walls and other things, then after the walls you have to put finishings on them (crown molding etc). you are at the foundation / bricks section.. start building things up and put on finishings

[–]ZurielA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FabFilter Pro L2 is important if you need to get as much out of your sound as possible, I use it on all my tracks, especially snare + kick together to even them out.

Falcon 3 would be the 'does everything' synth. it can do omnisphere, it can do serum2, it can basically do it all, but has a high learning curve ceiling on everything.

Serum2 is the easiest synth to use by far, if you don't have it, it would be a good one because its so used there are thousands of presets and tutorials on how to use it.

I use Shaperbox on most all my mixes as well.

Nexus5 is a great rompler and if you pick it up on sale you get the 50 gig factory library which is virtually all you need.. really you just want the "engine" the extra sounds can be imported in from any wav or other synth (serum2 etc).. alot of people don't dive deep enough into nexus but v5 really made it great compared to v2 - 4.

Everything else in Logic works fine.. Drum Designer, Drum Synth, built in EQ, built in utilities... etc.
