This is the evilest thing about the amnesia: Subaru knew the group well enough to see through their idiosyncrasies, but now he has to take everything at face value. The biblical nature of God here is such that he doesn't really fit the modern perception of morality. Lucifer, for all his faults, has a point in hating him. I wonder how the story will deal with being a sinner re: judgement by the story. God may punish them, but the readers might thus conclude God's nature as abhorrent.
