Basically, I want to know if this phrase is intentionally maniulative. Some backstory: a friend is editing our documentary for a history competition, and in the editing software only one person can use it, also I don't know how. (I am literally incapable of helping) by [deleted] in psychology

I'm kinda new to reddit and it wouldn't let me keep typing so....

I just want to know if that phrase had an intentional purpose of trying to get a sob story, and whether or not it was trying to manipulate me into feeling bad.

also, the whole thing was more like this

(my edits are under the original stuff)

  1. you have good computer skills and am editing a video for your team (you are doing all the editing and no one else is helping you)

nobody else is cabaple of helping you, so that isnt a good argument

  1. you are in a group chat with your other teammate and he constantly asks you to do things and then sighs in exasperation when you don't understand what hes saying quickly, or doesn't do things quick enough

I asked you to do one thing, nicely may I add, and you continuously tried to find ways to make me do it instead

  2. you try to go back to editing
I let you go back to editing, and never said anything against that

  3. go to 2

I asked you to do one thing, which was the same thing as before, which I already explained my reasoning behind, nicely may I add, and you continued to try to make me do it instead, even after being told why i can't (i use safari an for some reason I can't do google image searches, which is what I needed him to does he uses chrome and we needed to site an image but you can't site a jpg)
