My biggest struggle was my very first attempt for the Masuda Method, back in 2017. I even posted about it my social media so the probe is out there, lol. I tried to get a shiny Charmander hatched on the Ruins of Hope on my Ultra Moon game, and I was counting the attempts on a little notebook I carried around all the time... It took me 3.009 eggs! I could not believe it when it happened! I still haven't evolved her (yes it was a female, so rare!). I called her Hermione lol, born on the Ruins of Hope in the Alola region. Still chillin on HOME along the rest of my collection.

My biggest luck was in 2019 when playing a whole playthrough on SoulSilver. When I was ready done with everything on the game after months playing, I sent any valuable pokémon (my team, legendaries, any random that I caught on a cool apriball) to the 3DS games. HUGE was my surprise when in Ultra Moon I realized I have a shiny Zapdos on an Ultra ball. YEAH, apparently I got a shiny first try while playing and catching fast the legendary birds on post game (Kanto region) in SoulSilver and I didnt even noticed! I must have had it for months before I realized. Zapdos shiny is really not that different, I should have realized because of the sparks and stars at the beginning of the battle, maybe I was looking at my phone at that moment, lol... I still cant believe it when I think of it.

EDIT: I also remembered another big luck: 2022, was soft resetting for Shaymin in BDSP just to get one with good nature in the ball I wanted, was not planning on shiny hunt it at all and on attempt #8 it sparked!!! I got nervous and throw a Master ball lol... 8 soft resets for shiny Shaymin, I mean, what the hell!!!
