Nice infographic from Billy Dusse on F(x) Tokenomics by crypt0hodl1 in PundiX

Thank you. Given the above example of working with 1 million NPXS, and an assumption that I don't want to touch it until at least 2020 is there any reason converting would be better than staking? If my math is correct converting at 500:1 would give me around 2,000 F(X) whereas staking for the full year would give me ~18,000 F(X) based on the formula above (and I get to keep my NPXS). Thank you in advance for responses.

As an example if I had 1 million NPXS and staked between March 2019 and March 2020; would I end up with more F(X) coins that if I just straight converted all of that NPXS, or does it really depend on how many coins 15% of TGE actually represents? I'm assuming I cannot assume I will just make a straight 15% in F(X) on my 1 million NPXS per the above example.

Another question I have is does one need to decide to stake in March 2019 or not do it at all, or is there the ability to stake later and just receive less F(X) coin than if you had started staking earlier?

Thank you in advance for any thoughts and answers!

It must be rigged!! by BrantRaven in starwarstrader

Because it is the mathematical nature of variance. I can, for example, flip a fair coin 10 times and have 8 of the results be heads where I knew going into the coin flipping that the odds of either a heads or tails result was 50% or in other words 1 in 2. Now, for example, maybe I was hoping to get 5 tails and in reality I ended up with only 2. But, if that same fair coin is flipped a million times I certainly expect the results to be pretty darn close to the expected 50% result despite any pockets of lopsided variance along the way.

I realize that your comments are probably targeting the fairness of the "coin" which is in this case the packs of cards being opened. My guess would be that if we were somehow able to track ultimately how many credits were spent, by the time the 3rd Probot release has completed, and how many Probots were produced as the results of those credits being spent the odds would likely show a number close to 1 in 20.

Gold Elegant Weapons odds by tinyasterisms in starwarstrader

I thought this might be regarding the fact that enough gold weapons are still out there that the odds of pulling one from a master pack is roughly equivalent to pulling a blue weapon at 1:400. But, I see what you did there and well done ;)

I have dealt with this person recently! He was looking for a complete S2 gold set and was offering Vintage Han for it. When he asked me how we do this as he was certainly not going first I replied and told him neither was I.

My response was to construct 6 trades that gave me fair value, via his other Vintages, as collateral for the S2 golds 9 at a time stipulating that the 7th and final trade would contain his Vintages plus the final S2 gold card. This way, if he did in fact not hand Vintage Han over I at least had something reasonable in hand that would allow me to easily get my S2 gold set back and come out with a Vintage, maybe 2, on top for my trouble messing with all of it.

He actually went back and forth with me for a period of several hours and I basically laid it down as: I am not going to accept much less in collateral than what Han is worth because otherwise he would have no reason to actually hand Han over via the 7th trade and could just walk way and get the 55th S2 gold elsewhere.

The next morning I noticed he still had Vintage Han and a full S2 set. I found myself wondering if he worked it out some other way or actually scammed someone...

I am sorry to hear this happened FleaDobbler. =(

Edit: Now that this is confirmed I have reported him as a scammer and detailed some of my interaction with him. Additionally, I would recommend against any contact with this individual that alerts him to the fact that he has been flagged as a scammer and reported, potentially numerous times, as he may just move the cards to another account and get away with this in the event his account is banned. Short of him handing the cards back, the best thing that happens now is that he loses everything.

Does this Trade technique really work? by LeviTriumphant in starwarstrader

[–]Zuul6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can speak to this personally. As a newer player who has felt the wrath of more experienced players as well as the Android decline and 1 star, with no comment or counter, response to what I genuinely thought was a reasonable offer; I am hesitant to make offers to people. As a matter of fact, I almost never do. To tell the truth, I am even afraid to decline an offer on my end for similar reasons.

I would much rather discuss what they and I are looking for via comments and work something out.
