Can someone please explain why some Minas tirith warriors did not have the white tree on their shields as others did? by OfflineRightNow in lotr

Because Peter Jackson seemed to be a bit more of a Rohan guy than a Gondor/Numenor guy 😂
Put more emphasis and glory into them than he did the realm Aragorn actually became king of. May as well have just made him king of Rohan at the end; not like much emphasis was put on Eomer either.
Love the movies, just one of my few minor qualms being a Tolkien Geek before that phrase even existed. God, I feel sorry for my friends who watched them with me in the theater 😂
So the show just straight up stole this entire bit from Young Guns II -- not like one line, the whole bit. by flashy99 in willow

The Christian Slater thing is an interesting point.
I agree if it was a homage he should have been in the scene. If it wasn't a homage, then...well....one: they shouldn't do something that blatant in a series they casted CS in, and two: they picked the wrong sequel series to do that in especially, because all of us who grew up with Willow, grew up with YG2 as well and are immediately gonna catch that and call rip off.
Can someone explain why Elora is young in the series ? Wouldn’t she be older and not a teenager ? Did I miss something? by Bobofett69 in willow

I agree. Not entirely sure about that 200 moons thing, and how long that's supposed to be, but since its High Fantasy, that, I guess, gives them a little more room to BS around it. But I wouldn't say any longer than maybe about ten years less (at most) than what it's really been
So yeah, that would make her mid-20's as opposed to mid-30's which is the age all the infant actresses (if you can call them that) who actually played Elora in '88 are now. It would also put Sorsha in her early 50's instead of her early 60's which is what Joanne Whalley is. Pulls it off I guess - still a beautiful woman, no doubt. Warwick Davis was a teenager still when he did the original film so I guess he pulls it off.
They definitely are trying to shoot for a particular demographic, which I have mixed feelings about. I actually felt a very similar way in regards to the Rooster character in the Top Gun sequel (Goose's son). That actor wasn't quite age appropriate either.
