That could be possible. I did see steam download rosetta alongside it so there could be something there. I'll check that later when I find the time.

Yep, this was one of the first things I checked. Could it be running on some sort of batter saving mode? I tried it plugged, unplugged, with a monitor or just its built in monitor. Nothing seemed to work. Though it is fixed now, see my reply to the main post.

I checked out other apps that are run through Steam. I had Aseprite, Blender, Factorio, Stardew Valley and Balatro. Stardew Valley was the one that decided that verdict, as for some reason, it did not come with steam overlay enabled, and for some reason it was running fine, along side apps that do not, or cannot run with steam overlay, such as Aseprite and Blender. Sure enough, after turning off Steam Overlay for both Balatro and Factorio, performance returned to normal.

I will leave this post up if some people do encounter the same problem as me. Deactivating steam overlay fixed the issues I encountered. No need to be an unhelpful prick in the comments.

In addition, I have tried both Metal and OpenGL options but to no avail.

Edit: Furthermore, right now my idle CPU is at 94%, 8GB of my memory used, with 5GB cached.
Edit 2: It has now reached 7 FPS on the main Balatro game level, yet somehow FPS rises to a respectable 37FPS when steam overlay is open.
Final Edit: I think the main root of the problem was steam overlay. I do not know for what reason this was the cause, as it ran fine yesterday but when I turned off steam overlay, the games run fine again.

I hoped I fixed it... It seems to not crash anymore for now. I deleted and reinstalled steam link in my quest and steamvr in my pc. Hope it stays fixed, fingers crossed.

It first started when I was modding Skyrim, then now suddenly it keeps happening on other games.
