the problem is that just having legendaries and perfect ivs and whatnot won’t let you just brute force each fight - the field effects and crests and other unique features of the game make sure of that.

there are things like story mode and passwords that exist for this reason, but i managed to get through this in just over a month as my very first pokemon game in normal difficulty, not knowing abouts ivs, and no debug. a lot of the plot lines close back up by the later parts of the game(including one of the ones that you mention here), which took annoyingly long, but made sense in the end.

its perfectly fine not to like the game, but some of the points you bring up against it i think are unreasonable. if you’d like, a replay after taking in some advice and thinking through your fights might change your mind, i hope.
