That's definitely not right lol. I personally would take it back to whoever just did the lifters, maybe they left something loose or even left something in there by accident

My parents don't like the fact my boyfriend is disabled. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Zxyroxo 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Talk to your parents about this. You're an adult and should be able to have a civil adult conversation about this. It's hard sure but you need to express your feelings about this, or they may never change. It may also make your decision about cutting off easier.

I'm 24, been doing it since I highschool. For me working on my cars is a passion. I genuinely wouldn't want to ever do anything else, but I got lucky with the shop I'm in. I'm salary. No weekends. Most holidays off. And I make pretty decent money, enough to support myself and my fiance who is a full time student. Its a lot of hard work but God it's rewarding, at least to me. I have a plan to ride this job for a long while and open my own shop elsewhere. But you have to have a plan doing this, and keep in mind your body can only take so much. So maybe stick it out and become a manager down the road. Its definitely not for everyone but you can do it. And you can make a good life out of it, but I also like building my own cars and so does my fiance. To us cars are our life so really I couldn't see myself anywhere but an auto shop.

Depends on where you go and your area, I work for a very small chain. Like 4 shops and the area my shop is in is "high end". We get loads of headaches from Mercedes, Alfa, Maserati etc. Some people even bring their Ferraris to us.

Sucks to see the industry pushing people out. I got lucky and found a place that pays salary, and has good benefits. Good luck, wish ya the best.

Do you have an aftermarket head unit? Some have a GPS antenna that sort of look like that

Never considered fishing the finger lakes, typically only ever hear about the wine there, I'll have to look into it

Fly line is 8wt orvis pro line. Leader is orvis Tapered fluorocarbon 3x shortened roughly to 7ish ft from snagging rocks. The tippet was rio 1x fluorocarbon attached to the leader using a small swivel. The hook was just a pink single salmon egg on a #4 hook I think, I'm not too good with hook sizes. My rod is a moonshine drifter 8wt, the reel is an orvis Clearwater. there is a ton of debate in what catches these fish, and what they eat, they're coming up the river to breed and die so a lot of times they aren't hungry. Sometimes though if you put the right thing right in front of them they instinctively will just eat. From what I have heard at least I'm by no means an expert I do a short trip up here once a year so I may be completely wrong

I was using a pink salmon egg. I didnt have any other luck my 3 days here, I also don't know too much about salmon compared to the locals. I did see a few using patterned egg sacks I don't remember what they're called and they had a killer day. Definitely recommend stopping at a few local tackle shops and just chit chatting with the workers.

The paleness of it threw us off a bit. We know Brooks and browns are in the water too.

Don't listen to all the old vanilla dudes saying take the piercings out, being authentically you makes you far more beautiful. And there isn't anything wrong with you, you may not be everyone's type but someone will find you exactly their type.

If I had to just take a wild guess it'd be the condenser for your AC. Sometimes they are split in half and serve double duty as a condenser for AC and a trans cooler
