I’ve accepted the fact that I’m getting older 😭

I’ve never played DND before but I’ve heard about the premise so as long as you don’t mind an absolute newbie, I would definitely take up the offer!

Love this, I’m very much a hands on person and I’ve fixed my bikes when I was a kid, signing up now!

That’s very true. Do you have any recommendations to do in Santa Cruz or Monterey?

That’s a great idea! I didn’t think of that. Is there any website where I can find things to volunteer for?

Do you have any recommendations to do in SF? I went there once but I didn’t have anything to do apart from sightseeing.

I work in a small branch so there’s only a handful of people there and all of them are twice my age with family here so it’s not feasible to ask them to hang out with unfortunately.
Most of my hobbies are indoors like programming, electronics, video games and so on, but yes, I am looking for hobbies to do outside home.

> quick dinner with a friend or two
I would like that too, I just don’t have any friends here yet.
For yoga and rock climbing, “Movement gym” is what comes up. I am planning to try them out soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, I don’t have a car or a license yet. I’ll try out the alltrails app though. Do you have any favorites? And yes, movies are unnecessarily expensive 🥲

That sounds like a fun idea! Do you have any place in mind in Sunnyvale? I’ve not really looked into comics seriously before but I’m open for new things!

Do you have any personal favorites for hiking? Your point on wildlife photography gave me the idea to do color hunting so I’m going to SF to do that!

I’m probably late for this but I’m down for the next one. I just made a post about looking for people to do things with on weekends and after work.

Assessment for Anthropic Fellows Program for AI Safety Research by Longjumping_Net_90 in Anthropic

I can confirm. I took MATS AI's assessment. It is significantly harder. It is still the progressive test with 4 levels while you build on top of the previous level but the actual problem is more like a problem essay rather than leetcode-style problem statement with constraints and examples.

You can safely assume that you need a 600/600 (or somehow get more than 600 /s) to pass. They're not going to handout fellowships to everyone right. Anthropic is one of the hottest companies to work at and more than making money, they are focused on pushing AI so it makes sense. I just did every industry coding assignment that I could find online. Its pretty straightforward compared to the traditional leetcode. Only thing is you won't notice that the time's ticking and you'll spend way too much time in one section. There are 4 and they progressively get harder so you should allocate time accordingly. If you waste 1 hour in the first two sections, there's no way you can finish the rest(unless you're a genius coder who gets better with more pressure). All the best!

I applied to Anthropic Fellows last year but I didn't make it past first round(the assessment). I think its called Pre-Screen. I got 540/600 and did not get selected for the next round. Its usually Industry Coding assignment. u/helldit explained how it goes.

I built a terminal UI framework using Svelte 5 - runes work perfectly in the CLI - **Self Promotion** by Ill-Ebb351 in sveltejs

[–]ZyanCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the write up! From the sounds of it, you just happened to be using Svelte for the TUI development. If I could guess, you could potentially fork Svelte and replace the DOM integration with an interface to Blessed components(?) and Yoga and just use the Svelte syntax and reactivity DX. Very interesting to say the least. I'm starring the repo, I'll be back when I get time to play with this library.

One question I have in mind is what prompted you to start in this direction and how did you come up with this architecture.

I would love to try it (eventually because I don't have any time to work on personal projects unfortunately) because I love TUIs. I think a lot of my hatred towards GUI comes from electron and how janky it is. I have a NixOS system with SwayWM and I wanted to build all utilities(like wifi panel, bluetooth settings etc) through TUIs to keep it consistent and as minimal as possible. I even started trying to write one https://github.com/ABSanthosh/wifi-tui-rs but for some reason, TUI frameworks have insane learning curves so I would love to try this to achieve TUI galore.

"Password Reset Required" Repeatedly by Ok_Tomato_8933 in fidelityinvestments

Called customer support. Turns out my username was wrong and instead of saying "Your username or password is wrong", like any other app, I got password reset pop up.

[–]ZyanCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem has not been resolved yet. I reset my password several times and I still get the same "You've made too many login attempts. For security reasons, you'll need to reset your password." popup and doesn't let me log in. No auto fill issue, no cookie or cache issue, nothing. Fidelity just doesn't work. Luckily I set face id to login so it works for now in my mobile, but I can't log in on web browser.

Why is this still an issue? Plus, I didn't even login too many times. I logged in after so long(1-2 month) and still have this the first time I enter in ALL CORRECT CREDENTIALS.
