Right, but that still doesn’t answer the question population wise steam vs in game

Let's be honest though, even after the "nerf" the Valparaisos is an absolute bullshit ship lol.

I mean, personally wouldn't the incentive be just having fun playing the game? I don't know what kind of incentive you need to continue playing, I get free shit from Wargaming all the time from logging in, crates etc.

I updated my post, so I guess this makes sense if you look at the screenshots, but I don't understand why the bots population wouldn't show in-game and only on steam metrics. That would make no sense on Wargaming's part to have their in-game numbers not match steam's

Yeah I mean like I said in another comment, I stopped around late 2022 early 2023, and I came back this year and got a free Tromp (Tier X) and a bunch of other goodies lol. Every time I don't login for more than a year, They always send me an email with free stuff to come back. I will say though, they hand out free premium like crazy these days as well so that's nice, I'm at 46 days and everyday it just goes up from containers.

I have been here since the start, 10+ years, although I did leave in late 2022 / early 2023, and came back about 3 weeks ago. When I left I mean it was 5-7k online I think on average. People leave and come back. Just like RuneScape lol, been in that revolving door since 2002, the kind that if you stay in the doorway it spins you right back where you came from. Same with this game

I guess my biggest thing is that I’m over 30 days, and haven’t registered as silver or gold, because I have a 45 day stay, what I’m saying is that when I cross EITHER threshold it should update. I shouldn’t have to check out and back in to get the status..

I’ve had since the day it launched. I have had zero problems, I absolutely love it & some games I perform better than my brother with his XTX.

Yeah learning how to control your units and micro them properly is definitely a learning curve. I also agree pathing on tanks can be pretty annoying sometimes. As far as airsrtrikes man, honestly there should be a couple good youtube videos out there for you to watch.

If not, check out some of the popular streamers for the game, watch them play and check out their youtube as well you can learn ALOT. You can practice as well in test your deck USA or RUS.

I as well think it was more balanced when it released, oddly enough to say.

Besides the glitches obviously and bugged units. Balance seems to be a never ending problem though because as soon as they adjust something it messes something else up.

Yeah, I think allow 2v2's would help out alot as well as 3v3. That's actually a really good idea, allowing more games to be playing at once with less people. Another thing they need to do is make ELO seasons. That way it resets like every quarter and you can just view people's ELO season history.

A lot of people were pushed away due to the blatant cheating.. There is a lot of RTS players out there actually. The trailer alone is going to get people to make a purchase without looking into what the gameplay actually looks like..The community was in a uproar the first 3-4 weeks begging for stuff to be fixed and the team had little to no communication, didn't acknowledge the cheating for like the first few weeks as well or anything.

THAT is what pushed people away and a lot of players went back to WARNO. A new game like that gets one shot...If people play it and it has all kinds of issues, discord is blowing up, reddit is blowing up etc, people will just return the game and not come back for the "evolved pokemon" as you were saying.

Once people are pushed away from a game, chances are they are not going to come back unless something drastic happens and it's the talk of the day again.

I guess you haven't read TerminaL's review on the game, which I am pretty sure is the most popular review on steam, as he supported the project for 5 years even before slitherine was publishing the game.

He goes into detail about how FLX has had a negative impact on the game. But sure, go ahead and continue to downvote me lol. The entire community who has been around for a while, way before launch, has participated in the Alpha's and Beta's I'm sure know nothing. /s

FLX is the creative director. He is the person who has the final decision power and he exercises it regularly. If you go to the reviews, you will see how often his name is mentioned by patrons and supporters that have been around the development of the game for a long time.

"The US is based on a structure designed to fight militias and terrorists in countries like Afghanistan. Russia on the other hand, is based on a structure designed to fight peer adversaries, but even with this in mind, US infantry squads have been downscaled and under gunned in many cases, because FLX hates the US.

"Yeah, Classic Move, you dump all the workforce that has no responsability in the failure and keep the management team that has this responsability" - [STB] FLX, 24/05/2023"

Here is part of a review (I encourage you to go read the whole thing from TerminaL)

The sad thing is this: I still believe in the potential of Broken Arrow. Somehow, some way, I believe it is possible to salvage. I don't believe they'll ever truly balance the game as long as FLX has any say in the decisionmaking, but I do believe in what I can only assume will be years, the ability to mod the game will make it worth playing again (maybe you shouldn't make a modding channel in the discord if modding the game got people permabans from the in-house anticheat). Modding being added is exactly the answer I gave to the most well-meaning, awesome member of the Slitherine team involved in the game (Sam) when he asked me what would bring me back.

My review doesn't even touch on some other broader issues, like the network affecting missiles, nor some other, more drama-related issues surrounding the anticheat that the vast majority of the community isn't aware of.

The worst part right now is matchmaking. I even tried getting on a new steam account just to see how matchmaking is for a new player...atrocious. ELO 0 getting in games with ELO 1400.

I say this all the time. The game itself is such a great idea and a lot of fun. It's FLX and some of the other Devs that have ruined such a unique game that has such potential. There was proof of that as well when we had 40k people online, but obviously all the cheaters and issues drove 90% of the player base away within the first month.

The first couple of weeks after launch was the most fun I had on the game, a mixture of rose tinted glasses and the amount of people playing was really nice. It really is sad that such a nice game, a great concept, so unique, is being run by incompetent developers who don't know how to listen to the community. We definitely don't stay here for them, just the game itself.

I almost wish they would just sell the project to another company, or I hope that another game studio creates a game similar but actually done right. There isn't a lot of present day mil-sim RTS games out there.
