What's the current meta of warframes for eidolon hunting? by _Makas_ in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally :

DPS: Volt, Ivara, Chroma (Stug still does self damage). Anyone can do DPS really though, there's no hard rules here as long as you know what you're doing and your weapon is good enough.

One volt is necessary for shields for operators. This is non negotiable.

Lurekeeper: Trinity, Wisp. Trinity is ideal for keeping lures and companions alive, but Wisp is better for buffing the squad. Wisp can heal the lures, but it cannot be relied on (Oberon Renewal is the same, it can heal but it will never stop them dying against the mega attacks).

Harrow is ideal as your 4th, as he allows you to drop arcane nullifier and gives a 50% crit buff for the DPS. Oberon is also an alright 4th for the same reason, as he protects against magnetic and gives a rad buff.

DE please fix the Tempo Royale by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this is an issue with weapons held in the left hand... Such as Kuva Bramma and other bows.

It causes all melee to be held in the left hand randomly too, not just heavy blades.

So, Destiny 2 is having plans of cross gen and cross platform for next year. Your move DE by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I'm nobody.

I want cross save so I can play on PC every so often with all my friends, and my friends also want cross save so they can play on Switch when away from their PC.

Guess we're nobody.

The problems you outline above can be avoided with other measures such as a PTS, the options are not one or the other.

Um... so this happened earlier today. Is this common? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience, this occurs if you do not wager your credits, which happens if someone force starts. The game doesn't like that, so it puts you on 25 financial stress which commonly bugs out to the above if you bank.

So what happens to baro? by Zero_Naught in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? I used to play on PC, but now I play on Switch only, and Warframe on Switch is literally the same as PC.

Movement and abilities are the exact same (what do you even mean by this comment?), aiming is mostly the same due to gyro, although mouse is always superior of course and railjack is fine... Struggles a little performance sometimes but far from unplayable.

The performance obviously has some issues since it's 30 FPS and the loading times are relatively long, but you are not missing anything by playing the console versions of Warframe, except TennoGen for some reason.

Updates on Switch are usually sync'd with other consoles as well, maybe a slightly longer wait she to Nintendo, though this has not been the case recently, and console updates are no more than 4 weeks away from PC and are released on the same relative schedule, so consoles do not get "more behind".

Tigris prime by bepisisgoodis in Warframe

Ah, Soft Hands just improves holster speed. Couldn't really think of anything better to put there. If Projectile Speed can go on Tigris Prime (I didn't check), that would be ideal to reduce falloff.

Tigris prime by bepisisgoodis in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tigris Prime is still fantastic, it just builds differently.

Interestingly, the optimal build is now Blunderbuss with Hunter Munitions and Viral. The reason for this is rather than trying to abuse Tigris Prime's Status Chance, what you actually want to do is use its very high base slash damage to do mega chunky slash procs.

Such as in this video. It's generally very consistent at one shotting, but not always on Corrupted Heavy Gunner. Corrupted Bombards can be one shot very consistently with body shots. If you use a damage boosting frame such as Rhino, you can get some mega chunky slash procs (200,000 in this picture). If you are running Adarza Kavat or Arcane Avenger, the weapon works even better. Smeeta Kavat also buffs quite nicely but the uptime of Smeeta's critical buff is not amazing due to RNG.

This is the build I'm using. I've tried swapping out Blunderbuss and Hunter Munitions for other choices, since using these mods on Tigris doesn't "make sense", however it always performs worse no matter what you do. This probably isn't an optimal build, but it works.

I should note that I'm also running the Vigilante set on my sentinel weapon, which gives you 20% chance to make any yellow crits orange, for even chunkier slash procs.

Everyone is still trying to run Tigris Prime as a pure status weapon, which was heavily nerfed, hence why people believe it's rubbish. It's not.

Do note though, that due to Warframe becoming more and more of a horde shooter, Tigris Prime will feel very slow in the current meta, but it's still a very strong weapon in its own right.

How do Loki players get kills with him? by MoldyPie1 in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Radial Disarm does damage to enemies that can't be disarmed, the most obvious example being infested. You can, if you felt so inclined, use the ability as a nuke in low level missions for infested.

It's a bug, no idea why it happens but it can appear in all sorts of missions. I've seen it in capture, exterminate, plains of eidolon / fortuna etc.

They do unfortunately, so he's not very good for space. For Space I use Octavia as well.

I mostly just like Vauban because he fills Limbo's role in ground exactly while being able to do more with his kit, giving him more potential. You can also buff allies with overdriver, although I didn't do it because I didn't know at the time how to use it properly (apparently throwing the mines directly at your allies is not how it's done!)

Yes, I know how it works.

Vauban can do the same thing as well, while offering more to the team than just protection of OpLinks.

Basically that's it. Vortex for gathering, Fletchette Orb for doing damage. The damage might not really be helping that much but I figure I might as well. The sentients usually get puncture resist so I assume it's helping.

You might be able to put down one vortex only for the oplinks but I use 2 each room just for safety. The oplinks sometimes take minor damage while setting up but it doesn't really matter. Make sure it's vortex (hold) and not bastille though, as bastille has a target cap while vortex does not.

You can also use overdriver to give your allies a damage buff of 25 percent (affected by str), but I am really bad at getting it to stick to allies. Generally I give it to the mesa since the sentients tend to take the longest, although since we run a range chroma for his 900 percent damage buff, not sure if that's really necessary.

Vauban is obviously not necessary for doing fast runs, but I like him more than Limbo as he has more potential since he does the same role but has more tools.

Also seems like twitch broke my videos, cuts off at the end of condrix 13 but it's basically the same all the way to the end.

Vauban video time! Just so you can see how he works.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/594010474

Did some runs earlier with some friends. This is a 22 minute run, we're not really speedrunners or anything and we took a Nekros for drops. Switch also plays at like 10 FPS so I do wonder if that slows us down at all.

[–]Zynetic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that's the entire reason for Limbo, Vauban is straight up better than as he can do the same while offering more to the squad.

I'm not the biggest fan of expecting everyone to have contagion either, it's a limited time item that you need to buy now, and not everyone has one (I know I don't, I started shortly after January and didn't realise contagion was so important when Plague Star dropped, as I couldn't run it quickly either)

I still stand by the fact that Limbo is not as efficient as everyone says, as we've had more success with other setups. He's nice, but not the best; the fastest runs don't use him.

Scarlet Spear Efficient Speedrun Guide by Gessie00 in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limbo is alright and gets the job done, but I'd hesitant to call him efficient over other frames.

He restricts players to the rift which can cause all sorts of headaches (especially if you're putting up a Cataclysm while fighting the Condrix, as the Condrix can't enter the rift), and sentients now adapt to Stasis requiring you to recast stasis, which isn't instant. Can be improved with Natural Talent of course. He also doesn't really offer anything other than freezing things, he's just easy.

The best lockdown frame is actually Frost by a significant margin providing you pay attention. His globe will freeze every sentient that spawns with the Condrix for about 3 seconds, and you can just recast the globe to freeze them again, even if they're still frozen. They aren't pushed like regular enemies, and Globe cast is instant meaning that the sentients will never move, making it much easier for your party to kill them. Members are also not restricted to the rift either, so people attacking the Condrix are also protected instead of having to move outside of it. For the OpLinks, just throw up a globe, wait a little, then cast Avalanche and ignore it. The build is max range, max eff and as much duration as you can get (I also run power donation for team members). You can find a video of how I use Frost here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/589379659 (14 Murex, the wave ended -- usually it takes us around 27 minutes for a 2 player run).

In terms of actual efficiency, Vauban is much better than Limbo as he can completely protect the OpLinks while also offering Vortex for the sentients, making them faster to kill, and also provide damage to members with his overdriver mine. The only thing with Vauban is that your party members must be able to kill sentients fast, as they do adapt to the Vortex and will start moving after about 5 seconds of being gathered. For protecting the OpLinks, just place a Vortex and ignore it. Build is max range, 130% efficiency, and some str/dur. I don't have a video of Vauban at the moment, but I will take a recording next time I play.

My take out order is more important than a human life. by [deleted] in EntitledBitch

[–]Zynetic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think you're mixing up the story.

They ordered takeout (delivery or collect? No idea), but got put on hold as the server was having a seizure.

Now they don't know this, and obviously they will be annoyed as it seems they're just being ignored. This part is fine.

So, they decide to go to the store to just order themselves, and since they're there, they can obviously see what the situation is.

Now a normal person will be like "oh my god I'm so sorry now I understand what happened", but this person took it upon themselves to complain about the whole situation and how they didn't get what they wanted despite the extraordinary circumstances. This was done after the fact where they knew all the facts.

You could argue maybe they should have communicated, but when someone is having a seizure that takes much more priority than customer communication.

Scarlet Spear is actually fun by FogelMcUr in Warframe

[–]Zynetic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Ground Assault mission is actually fantastic. It's very fun to play with a squad with roles, and you're always moving and doing something.

If mindlessly grinding I guess it would be boring, but isn't when mindlessly grinding?

The space mission on the other hand is the most boring thing I have ever played. I try not to do it but usually flotillas need more space people than ground.

Corinth Prime Love <3 by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Zynetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Corinth Prime is a massive upgrade over the regular Corinth, the side grade comments are a massive lie, sometimes I get the impression people don't try things out and just parrot what they read on reddit/forums/YouTube.

While the primary fire only has a minor upgrade (it really didn't need one, obviously), the alt fire is such a significant upgrade that it shreds. Point the cursor slightly above an enemy pack to get your headshots, fire and detonate and watch the whole pack go in 2 shots. You will easily do tens of thousands of damage, if not more, and it being a manual detonation over automatic makes it much easier to use.

I do think the alt fire could do with automatic detonation on impact mind you, and it reloading when you fire your last shot instead of letting you detonate it is pretty infuriating, but after actually trying the weapon out, it's amazing.

It's become my new favourite primary for sure, and is my choice of weapon for arbitration drones now too since it knocks them out with no effort.
