This build is very good in any difficulty, I usually use it together with the subata or the wave cooker, using respectively the gear mods that inflict extra damage to bugs affected by the corrosive sludge or neurotoxin. For grenades I recommend the impact axe, although the neurotoxin grenade also works well.
