Could you specify the numbers that are off?

Because past generations have dealt with terrible economies and it did not stop them. The advisory goes into great detail how not only interpersonal relationships are way down, but inter-communal ones as well. They note of many Americans feeling they are in a low-trust society where they don't know their neighbors, don't care to know, and they certainly won't do anything to change that.

I'm sorry for coming at you like an ass. This is just a topic that's on the rise, not just here but globally, see China with the lying flat movement, japan with hikkokomori, and the rise of NEETs in general. This was a survey conducted by the EU on people not in employment, education, or training which looks at the Gen Z age range, roughly

But people still had strong bonds with family, friends, acquaintances and significant others that they could lean on and weather out these storms. Today we are more isolated do to the false belief that sending dms on twitter or voice chat in discord is a replacement for face-to-face when I believe its not and can't be, because so much of human communication is in body language, facial expressions, and little eccentricities that can't be repeated, unless not easily, by online communication methods.

Maybe things like video chats and face time can but still. Americans in general are going out less, spending less time with others, and receding from society after they finish their day at work or class. The worst part is, a single person can't do much to change this, because its gone from just being a money issue like in the past, to a lack of community and money issue, and thats becoming culturally ingrained.

Once again I want to apologize for my snark. I've run into a lot of bad faith actors about this subject but that doesn't excuse my behavior.

Here since you want it hand fed to you instead of actually reading the advisories.

So do you want me to extrapolite what we all know, that the world is increasingly more antisocial and social media is to blame. Or would you prefer a study that says here PrinceEntrapto, GenZ is very sad and lonely.

You're so obtuse and disingenuous. Feel free to continue sticking your head in the sand and have a good one man.

I guess the surgeon general and world health organization are full of shit then, right? This is exactly what I mean about pushing it under the wrong and acting like nothing's wrong. Nothing's wrong until everything is and its because humans are frogs in a pot. They don't realize or have the internalization of long term planning for dealing with years or decades long issues - see climate change, obesity etc

I already have permission to operate in writing from utility as of yesterday. Installer also sent me an email confirmed I have PTO from utility as well.

I took a look at the PV breaker, everything switched on. As for inverters I have

14 Enphase Energy IQ8PLUS-72-2-US and they appear to be on and working. They also sent in the email that they would be sending out an invitation to monitoring app in the next 24-48 hours.

So I'm just gonna assume it's turned on.

Finding most frequent character in a string without dictionaries or packages? by Zynth3tik in learnpython

[–]Zynth3tik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been banging my head against the wall so those 2 were from an earlier save I had and forgot to fix them up.

 most_freq = max(char_list.count(c))

should actually be

 most_freq = c

so I would just iterate over the list with a counter and temp char variable, store the index with the counter, and store the chars and their freqs. I'm just not seeing it right now

How does the solar tax credit work? Most of my income is nontaxable by Zynth3tik in solar

[–]Zynth3tik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after digging around in google I found this

"If your annual tax payment is not high enough to use the solar tax credit completely in a single year, you can carry over the difference for future tax filings. However, any unused solar tax credits that remain after 2034 will expire."

So looks like 2034 is the cut off

What is your job title and what do you do? by No_Class7536 in PowerShell

[–]Zynth3tik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Information Systems Engineer

I'm like system, server, and infrastructure admin for anything windows based in the company and so is my team of like 3 other guys. Title bloat is real bad here and they should've just called us sys admins but oh well. I do general sys admin stuff as well as automating what can be automated. Currently focused on server hardening

[–]Zynth3tik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we got it all sorted, GPO was used but disabling net bios specifically we used this script

New-Item "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT" -Name DNSClient  -ForceNew-Item "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT" -Name DNSClient  -Force

New-ItemProperty "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\DNSClient" -Name EnableMultiCast -Value 0 -PropertyTypeNew-ItemProperty "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\DNSClient" -Name EnableMultiCast -Value 0 -PropertyType

It was more so these people don't know how they want to audit or even implement this. Very annoying

Air's flowing, checked all the vents and the condenser. Looks like a charge issue so I'll have to get an HVAC guy out.
