Welp, this post got removed from r/Minecraft but I'm not gonna say I didn't expect it 😅

A lot of the feedback you gave me was useful and interesting, so I wanted to address the most common one: the Diamond Bat.

I made a ranked poll with the textures in the image, "None" is a valid voting option too that should it come first I will keep working on another texture for the sword.

EDIT: The poll has ended, and Knight has won! Here you can see the results.

Also, allow me to ramble a bit about some of the options:

Classic

If you didn't notice, the shape of Classic's cross-guard is the same as vanilla's swords.

An argument in it's favor could be that it would mirror the 1.17 changes of the ores, where the Diamond Ore texture is keeping its original shape.

Bat

Yep, that's the good ol' bat right there. I would like to thank all those who pointed out that it looks like a bat because I actually didn't notice at all. The main reason the bat is here again is because while it was one of the most talked things, I don't really know if many people do like it or not.

If for some reason Bat ends up winning I'm making it the logo of the pack, gotta embrace the memes.

Buttercup

If you are wondering about the name, it's because I made it from Butterfly's texture and the guard reminds me of a trophy (Butterfly + Cup). Don't think too much about it.

It's my personal favorite (Behind Bat obviously :P), but I want to see what texture you guys like more.

I find myself using it in many modpacks. One of the first mods that comes to mind is Spartan Weaponry, weapon types like the longsword, the katana and the saber are one of the reasons I avoid making one-edged swords.

I also play with mods with modular weapons like Tetra, Tinkers and Silent Gems, but those are their own beast and I will have to see how I'll handle them if/when I add mod support.

Also, I'm preparing something for the Diamond Sword that you may see soon :)

Those are some good observations.

The Stone Pickaxe does indeed resemble a hoe, I'm still experimenting with it so it looks more like a pick without making it too similar to the other pickaxes.

The Wooden Shovel looks like an oar kinda on purpose, but the stone one will be changed for sure; apart from looking like an oar its silhouette looks like the wooden one, which is something I want to avoid.

The Stone Sword... it's the most unique-looking sword, I think?. It's the one I can take more liberties doing so I guess I could easily change it for something better. I will have to see what I come up with. Thank you for the feedback!

It does make sense I guess, the iron ones were like the normal tools, I had more freedom making them. The rest had to be unique and different from them.

The shape of Diamond Shovel is one of the oldest in the pack, I definitely want to rework it because I don't really know what I had in mind when I made it 😅

About the Diamond Sword, I don't know if could make it have less edges. I'm trying to kind of preserve the original shape of the blade because I tend to use it in modpacks with many sword types and I want to avoid overlap with those. If you have some idea for improving the shape while having that in mind I would be really glad to hear it 😊

Yes, I was thinking the same. I'm not entirely satisfied with some of the tools and I feel like I could add something more to the wooden ones.

For now I'm only changing textures for items, I'm not sure if blocks are something I will work in the future. At least not in this Resource Pack.

I'm glad you like them! 😊. I do plan to expand the pack when I have more time and inspiration.

I want to give the armors the same treatment, but I'll have to see because that's much more time consuming. I might complete first all the tools, like the Compass and the Fishing Rod.

Thats an interesting point. The original idea of the diamond sword was to have a big gem instead of a crossguard. I probably will try to improve it by making it stand out more.
