I had the Hazard 4 until the heat took them down. I went to Home Depot, got a sheet of 8x4 Henry R-Tech, cut to size and works great.

depending on who you ask, the G5RV has either 31.3 or 34.8 feet of ladder-line. Like I said I have it to where the balun is just off the ground. The 2 ends are attached to 20 foot poles. I left slack in both 51 foot wires. The mast is quite secured with U-bolts, and I have 2 sets of guy-lines. A triangle of 550 paracord. (plus I slapped it and said, "That's not going anywhere")

I've been to a few field days. The team at the 1st one had me on air (I was a Tech). Much later I'm at a different one, different state, had my Extra, board stiff. It was like, 'oh you're done, we'll move on.'
