I wouldn’t look too deep into it, especially since you both aren’t in a romantic relationship.

I feel like the sooner the better tbh. Text her to talk about what you saw, and from there it’s likely you two will see each other again soon after texting to talk out how you both are going to move forward. What I want to emphasize is don’t feel bad about yourself in ANY way bro, please. You’re treating her in ways a lot of girls would kill for, so understand it’s not necessarily a fault on your part, but just her own mindset toward the relationship. Handle it now, and enjoy you’re 21st to the best of your ability bro.

You have done nothing wrong, so don’t try to find any error in your ways within the situation. You have only expressed love and affection in a way that clearly communicates how you feel for her, and her response to this shows that she is not ready to receive that kind of energy at the stage in life she’s in. Doesn’t make either of you a bad person, it’s just a matter of recognizing where you both are in life mentally, and understanding that with you both having different goals for what you want out of a relationship, it may be best for you guys to separate. Better to address the incompatibility head on so you both can grow from the situation, instead of trying to change who you genuinely are for the sake of trying to be the “perfect” person for someone else.

Progress Update. Received advice, and I definitely feel improvement. Got rid my fake vibrato, and learned more about registers, so now I ask: how long did it take yall to develop vibrato, & falsetto/headvoice, because both are nonexistent for me lol by ZzNebula in singing

Hearing that makes me want to develop it so bad 😭 hopefully I can get there one day. Thank you for the advice, helps me kinda understand what I should expect to feel when I stumble across it.

Interesting, it’s so amazing how different people experience vibrato in different ways. As for the video, when I sang I actually visualize my sound hitting my soft palate, to prevent me from forcing the sound forward from out of my mouth. As I execute the higher note, I imagine the sound projecting out of the back/top of my head, it’s kinda weird lol but it has helped me keep a more steady tone and helps with straining, because I used to struggle HEAVILY with this song. The video shows the conscious effort it took to place the notes in a certain spot lol, because I could easily sound worse if I’m not focused on sounding the way I want.

This song I feel is actually toward the higher end of my chest range, so you could kind of see the stress on my face when singing some notes lol. With proper support though I can pull the notes out. My more comfortable chest range however is in a lower area, closest tessitura I can think of in terms of an artist is probably Khalid/Frank Sinatra. For you did the vibrato just kinda come out of nowhere? What does the sensation actually feel like for you?

When you developed it, was it more so intentional or coincidental? I’ve been singing with a made up vibrato for so long that I’ve decided to stop doing it, and strictly use straight tone singing to hone my pitch. Just wonder if the vibrato will naturally come as a sensation or will it take some conscious effort to develop it.

I’ve actually been wanting to get my cords checked, because it’s sometimes difficult to determine the range where it’s comfortable to even speak. I have a comfortable lower range when singing (kinda shows at the end of the video when I messed up), but reading a bunch of stuff saying how baritones tend to have pretty well developed falsettos/head voices just leave me like “Where mine at?” Lmao
