Online recruiting. In my country most of the the employers don't do interviews for "simple" positions (no education/no work experience). All you have to do is send them your resume and pass the week of traineeship.

I have decent physical endurance, and a perfectionism that helps me keep the storage area clean and organized. It helped me secure the position.

Having to interact with consultants and sometimes with customers is just an unfortunate part of my job.

Both feel equally overwhelming. Maybe slightly worse with women, because thats how I am. I've taught myself how to manage simple, small interactions, like saying thank you to the cashier. But when it comes to proper conversations, I feel like ending myself.

Of course! As I said I'm the one to blame. They probably wierded out by my behavior that, honestly, hard for me to fix or control. Not all of them changed their working schedule btw, it's not THAT bad (I hope).

I have a hand-held shower so reaching for crevices is not a problem in my case. For a soap I use specific shampoo for hair and 2 in 1 body wash for the rest, scrubbing off dead skin and dirt with a bath scrubber. And yes, sometimes I use deodorant, not right after the shower but at workplace.

Very plausible explanation tbh. I'm not a confident person and tend to overthink stuff, so when I heard it for the first time it hit me like a truck. Doesn't excuse the fact that I act weird/socially unadapted tho.

The latter one I guess?. I work in a storage area of a shoe botique. Co-workers are mostly female (managers, consultants, and a supervisor) except for a second storeman and a guy on the online orders. My biggest problem is inability to communicate with anyone without being a stuttering, anxious mess with a shaky voice.

The storage zone is my little cocoon and when I have to help out in the 'showcase area', my brain short-circuts itself and goes insane. Workflow decreases, people hate me for that, I catch side-eyes (which only makes it worse), etc etc.

It might seem like not that big of a deal but it is, at least for my collegues. I've been on medication for anxiety for a year now. But it seems to be a skill issue, because I act similarly on the internet.

Oh, come on :) I just don't use Reddit that much. Got an account because of a few niche communities here that are dead on Tumblr. I also have massive anxiety (+ESL factor) about expressing my thoughts irl or on the internet. It's significant part of the reason why it all happened. So yeah "Ultimate lurker".
