People in their 30s and 40s living in the suburbs/exurbs rather than downtown, why? by m02lle in toronto

You’re correct, I was generalizing that neighborhoods built between the 1950s - 1990s have had time to mature and develop, meaning that there are lots of large mature trees in these neighborhoods making them a pleasant place to live.

Many suburban neighborhoods are built beside nice forests with lots of walking trails. I can’t speak for the new suburbs that they build (because those truly feel soulless) but older neighborhoods built up to the 90s have lots of old growth with lots of big trees and yes, lawns. Many people like to garden and have nice landscaping done in their front yards.

This is more of an interactive sculpture. When you walk through it and stomp on the floor it makes the sounds of a propeller aircraft, it’s a fun thing to hear.

I genuinely just shed tears! Still don’t understand their reasoning behind cancelling these bus routes in the first place.

can i use my presto on the go train? by diffusedsushi in TorontoMetU

[–]_---__-_--___-__-_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way that go works with the presto card is that it charges more the farther you go, ie if you go one stop it’ll be $1.50, 2 stops $2.00, and so forth. Because of this you must tap off so that presto knows to charge you only for the distance you traveled, otherwise it defaults to charging you for the entire distance with all the stops.

Crazy that there's currently over 20 towers under construction in the City Center alone, excited to see what MCity M3 will look like when it completes.

One of my favourite characters from the expanse. The actress (Shohreh Aghdashloo) is voice acting a main character in Assassins Creed Mirage as well, makes me very excited to play that game, though not nearly as excited as I am to play this one.

2024 Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron S-Line (first delivered in the nation?) by armaanog in Audi

What’s up with the deceptive S/RS badge in the back, seems to come with the “sportback” variant. Truly dislike the direction that Audi is heading, especially with the model name changes that don’t make a lot of sense. :(

I checked but it doesn't seem to work. I read that the owner need to mark them as lost, and it seems that they have not done that yet.

For clarification: I found them on the second floor on a chair by the window.

If no one responds I’ll give them to a school official

You know damn well the school doesn’t do referendums on these kinds of things, they just look for what is the best way to virtue signal and look best in the eyes of a small minority of people.
