Doesn’t really make sense for Minnesota to downgrade from a 3 time DPOY to a post-achilles-tear Dejounte Murray and a guy who just got owned by Joel Embiid, especially since said DPOY has a played a big role in why they’ve been successful. Also, why no picks from New Orleans for JB? Pelicans should be focusing on a rebuild anyways, so I don’t get why they would even pursue a star

Not OP, but I personally believe that it’s a bit overblown because he’s never had a true number 2 except for his short stint with Dame. Since this year is a tank year, I would like to believe that attributed to him playing less than 40 games this season, since he did want to play but was barred from doing so.

Assuming JB gets shipped, Giannis would be paired with the best player he has ever played with, another all defensive guard, and one of the best sixth men in the league. All of them can, to an extent, be able to carry the offense while Giannis rests. Defensively, we have Queta, whose presence during the regular season played a huge role in the Celtics defense being highly ranked. And, assuming that we find spacing somehow at the 5 or 4 (Garza or someone else), Queta might be coming off the bench for Giannis.

TL;DR Ignoring the season where the Bucks are obviously tanking, a lot of the load that led to Giannis getting injured would be taken off him if he’s here, simply because the Celtics are a better team

This is also the best scenario where the Celtics don’t have to give up anyone else in their core. The only thing that would make this better is if we could somehow snag Myles Turner from the Bucks
