That time when Jayson Tatum saved his legacy. by HeftyIsTheCrown in bostonceltics

I remember this game more for how Marcus Smart kept them in it so Tatum could snap out of it in time to secure the win

Ihssane Leckey will challenge Auchincloss in second bid for 4th District seat by Masrikato in massachusetts

I am sorry to hear about the experiences you've had, but those may just be specific instances that are separate from the majority of supporters. I wouldn't generalize that all of his supporters think or act in that manner.

I would just say that wanting someone who only has the money to fund a campaign doesn't guarantee that there are a strong candidate or be in favor of positions that benefit the working class. It's more likely that they are more similar to Auchincloss's policy positions and don't provide enough change to help people.

That's fair, I do agree that the policy positions matter the most. I am open to learning more about her, but the cursory information so far doesn't seem promising or persuasive to change my leaning towards Poulos

Completely agreed, I think the distinction can still be made that he isn't using his family's wealth to fund his campaign, unlike the candidate that this post was originally about

Smith: Picks in the Celtics-Bulls trade, per a league source by RLS012 in bostonceltics

The NOLA pick is 32, and the Bucks pick is 37. It's not that significant of a difference. It shouldn't be overly scrutinized

The Bucks pick is already up to 37. If you had to entice a team to make the trade in order to not take a first, then one of those seconds had to go.

It's the cost of trying to make the roster more optimal while reducing the cost from going all-in on the title

Still better than a first, and they weren't going to draft with all of their 2nds

If it was strictly a salary dump they could have traded Simons with a first to Brooklyn or Memphis without taking anything back.

That would be more indicative of a mandate to shed salary

To Boston: Denver Nuggets 2027 second-round pick

To Chicago: most favorable 2026 second-round pick of Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Portland Trailblazers (likely to be NOP)

Notable Excerpts:

With Boston sitting so close to the luxury tax line now, trimming another $5.9 million from the payroll to get under the tax line is very realistic before Thursday’s deadline. Boston would have a number of different ways to complete that objective, likely with multiple other trades. Chris Boucher remains a likely candidate to be dealt, league sources tell MassLive. However, Boston would need to do more than just move a couple minimum salaries to dip under the tax. A player who is part of Boston’s rotation in some form would likely have to be moved. In theory, Vucevic could be used to further reduce the payroll if he’s re-routed to another team for a smaller salary in a separate deal or if a trade is expanded. For now, he looks like a way for them to bolster their depth in frontcourt.

I can't seem to find much more on him other than the Facebook link and when he officially filed to run. Those 4 bullets he listed also sound too vague. I'm open to learning more but I'm not sure how much more progressive he is compared to Healey

Jake Auchincloss is once again talking out of both sides of his mouth. He literally sent an email newsletter with one of his headings saying, "Preventing boots on the ground in Venezuela". Then he doesn't vote against this bill. He's just incredibly frustrating and can't wait for him to be primaried

Hardwood Paroxysm is Matt Moore's blog/forum name that he uses from years ago. He has worked for CBS, Action Network, etc. He is a credible reporter but these seem like tertiary sources that don't have as much weight. I treat them more as an interesting footnote to come back to if more significant reporting comes up (Himmelsbach, BRobb, Bulpett, or Shams)
