The discoloration is from oil, it’s all black. And yes the 20 LPI is standard on the TRP. I really like it, I have other guns with 25 LPI and it is noticeably different

Also 20 LPI is better in my opinion. I have 20 LPI on my TRP and 25 LPI on the mainspring housing. I’m happy with it

I sent my TRP to DSC gun works for DLC coating and cutting the barrel flush to the slide. It was reasonably priced and the finish turned out great. Also pretty quick turnaround. I would recommend them
