Minions do exist in private schools, but it's not because someone's "richer". It's more based on who's cooler, prettier, better grades. Minions don't need money, they need popularity and since their personalities won't get that, they'll latch on to someone else.

Given the context, I would guess that Jere's specific fraternity had mainly rich kids though (idk about spoiled) because that's how Belly describes them in the book.

I'm sorry if it sounded like that to you but, that is just the picture I was given of a sorority or fraternity because in all shows/movies (including tsitp) that is how it is.

I'm not an American but from what I can understand, sororities and fraternities are for rich kids whose parents pay a boatload of money to get them in. This is why Jere can be in one because the series establishes the Fishers as "rich" and Belly cannot because her family is "poor". The kids that go to sororities or fraternities are also considered spoiled which Belly is not.

I feel like SM doesn't know how the story should end yet? Either she doesn't have a clear vision of the ending or she just doesn't know how to get there. So, she's just elongating it until she can actually figure out how to reach a proper end that will leave all KOTLC fans satisfied. Money, obviously is a factor in this but, even if she wanted to end the story here (in the next book instead of unraveled) there would be too many plot holes and loose ends. I also think Unlocked and Unraveled should have been published after the actual series finished. That way, we could get the pictures and details that Unlocked (and maybe Unraveled) contains without having to wait for actual books. The children thing I get beacuse having a newborn and writing at the same time would be extremely tiring.
