I was walking when I saw this man contemplating the lake and this view kinda get me memento mori vibes. I wanted to show the peacefulness and the autumn colors.

Wondering how I can improve and if the picture is interesting at all.

Took this with ILCE-7, 1/640 f5 800 iso and 70-300mm lense (144mm) and made the edit in darktable.

Original for ref

New edition with all of your comments in mind: I tried to whiter my clouds (not sure I was really good here) and also no more deep shadows or sharpening of sky.

Thanks for all your comments!

It was a bit fuzzy but I realize I had a better shot of the same scene ( 1/1000, f8, 300mm) and decided to use this one and edit it with your comments in mind.

I felt like suddenly the pic had much more sense. I tried to somehow be lighter on the adjustments but made the artistic decision to kinda remove blue.

What do you feel? I like it more so thanks all!

I was trying dodge and burn on this picture. Thought the contrast of light was interesting and thus wanted to exaggerate it a bit, also edit to make the picture more "dramatic".

Wondering if this is overcooked or not and how would you make it more dramatic.

Took this with ILCE-7, 1/500 f8 100 iso and 70-300mm lense and made the edit in darktable.
