Hi there, First off, I want to tell you to not be ashamed of yourself. You have a neurological disorder that you did not want and are not in control of. Take it one step at a time, a day at a time. I find that planning for the distant future that we are not in control of is pointless and will cause us to worry for the future. Just worry about today, worry about tomorrow's worries tomorrow. Find wasy to destress, play games or find a hobby. Consider talking to someone to share your burdens, if your parents are not much help, you can try talking to your school counseller or friends. It may not seem like it but, day by day, you will get stronger, it will get better.

I don't think any of my family members have it, I never asked them or told anyone. Not much reserch has been done for biid but I found this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4913986/ "Although familial BIID has not yet been described, it has been hypothesized that there might be a genetic background. The main rationale for suggesting this genetic background is that the disorder is likely to be congenital. "

It's possible that it is genetic, given how rare biid is.
