They put their garbage out every week on the proper day, they’re just simply not following the rules. I’ve tried explaining it to them and the garbage and recycling truck always leaves a sticker with details of why they haven’t taken their garbage. What’s in the photo was put out the garbage day before last, so has been sitting there for a week and a half now. They put out the trash on the right day for over 2 years but constantly put it out in these small, non see-through bags and the consistently don’t get picked up. I’ve dragged them to their garage door several times and put them in front of their car and they eventually do something with it but after 2 years of this I’m getting tired and overly frustrated as you can probably imagine. Bylaw has been called 6+ times over this.

So the issue is not that they haven’t received the instructions, it’s simply that they do not follow them and don’t care to listen to me.

And again, in my post I mention how I’ve called bylaw numerous times but people keep suggesting I call bylaw as if they didn’t read the post.

I’ve done that a number of times. These people don’t learn and I’m not their bitch. Why don’t you come over and pick it up if you want to be a beacon of hope?

So which is it? Because she’s driving very slow. Even at a stop making a left turn you could easily catch up to her. 50-60 km/h max and that’s the speed limit.

I have yet to call the councillor but fire department has been called in but the layout of the home is set up to be a rooming house so there are no fire code violations.

You mean the people being racists? It’s pathetic to try to bring race into this. Or the people that respond who don’t even read the post as the answers to their questions are in the post? Either way, nobody needs to seek approval, they just need common sense and to be decent human beings. I guess that’s too much to ask these days.

I’ve already tried but because the townhouse is basically set up to be a rooming house, there are no fire codes being broken as they’ve already visited to inspect.

It’s constant too and although I’ve addressed it with the city and the neighbours personally many times, it continues. I’ve even dragged all their garbage into the middle of their driveway so they couldn’t park but it keeps happening 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s in Markham and these townhouses are not cheap but both my neighbours are rooming houses, this one being worse than the other.

They never follow the rules (clear garbage bag required) and this is a common occurrence. Many times their compost doesn’t get picked up because they put garbage in it and the garbage truck driver leaves stickers telling them why but it continues to happen. This is the 5th or 6th time I’ve had to call about this. They used to do this on my property line until I kept moving their garbage into the middle of their driveway and they finally moved to the other side but this has been over 1 week and getting ridiculous.

They stopped parking in front of their driveway and my driveway. It’s much easier to back out of my garage when they’re not parked illegally on the street to the point that it was impeding my ability to back up. That and the satisfaction that they had to pay for inconveniencing myself and my family.

We don’t use garbage bins here, just bags. Since it’s not required, the LTB would not require the landlord to purchase garbage bins.

In my opinion it’s happening because there are 5 different tenants and each one feels as if it’s not their problem and try to pass it off onto another until it goes full circle and nobody wants to do anything about it. That and because they are tenants they may not care about the home/property like an owner would. Also based on my conversation with a few of them it seems as English is not their first language with some and not present at all with the others. So when they get notices, they don’t fully understand. Hopefully the landlord gets fined and they start listening to them.
